Exactly, I never go by specs. I got by what it sounds like and then what the interface looks like. A synth could have all of the features in the world but if it doesn't sound good enough then I don't consider it.apolo wrote:One thing is what the specs say... another what my ears say...Cyforce wrote:Sylenth vs Largo vs Synthmaster2?
Synth such as Sylenth1

Specs and features do not the Sylenth sound make but I do agree somewhat on the mid bass issue. Largo has a very distinctive sound, immediately recognizable/likable - drifty and dreamy to my ears. Sytrus has a great sound but not at Sylenth's level in some areas. All the features in the world would not make me buy Synthmaster2. Version 2 is much better than 1 but still very thin sounding and not very unique in today's world.
ACE would be my recommendation for that fat punchy sound, it is a beast!

Do you think the below sounds "thin"? I really would like to know your opinion:
1. 4 Saws (Additive) with LP24 filter Arpeggiated
2. 4 Saws (Additive) with LP12 filter Arpeggiated
Thanks!
Bulent
PS: I started a separate thread on this "thin" sounding argument on our forum:

My ears has hear, sylenth and also synthmaster2, both very intensiv. I dont said that one of the three is bad, only, that from the value-for-money-factor of the synhmaster2 is much much bigger as the two other synths, and he also sounds good.apolo wrote:One thing is what the specs say... another what my ears say...Cyforce wrote:Sylenth vs Largo vs Synthmaster2?
It does not sound even closer to Sylenth nor Largo...!
If i would have the choice i would take - all three

I am just posting a sound sample and asking a simple question: "Does it sound thin?", and my motivation is to improve my product, that's why I started a separate thread on this.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Now that I've finally gotten around to demoing it, I'd have to agree (I'm lagging a bit behind - I'm usually on top of anything new Urs comes out with). I don't think the hardware VA's I've used have anything on ACE in terms of sonic presence and punch. It's a little monster.ACE would be my recommendation for that fat punchy sound, it is a beast!

ACE is best of best thing..... I think ACE is much better than Virus..It's more fat, and good tone.. such as Nord.. I think If do, ACE is only can compear with nord..Cyforce wrote:+1 On ACE.
But.. This post is about some more nomal synth.. and SynthMaster, Largo.. Thanks.. enought..
If to solve any problum must buy a new synth, It's not funny... so I concern more people's modern synth way than only compear 3 synths
