I wonder what keyboard controller would be easiest to setup for a total newb. (49-61 keys)
OR, if I may intrude, MUTOOLS, what do you use?
(p.s. I searched a little but with M3 coming up thought I take my chances on new topic)
maybe not playing slammy (for the sake of your keyboard and your hands) but somehow disable velocity... ?synthyboy wrote:hi sorohanro, under mouse 100 %, I tried to play slammy, but around 75 % out anyway. how to do under midi keyb - 100 % ?
I'm just asking is this MU Lab's "midi in signal internal limitation" or M-Audio internal thing ??? I don't think that's a bug, I mean just want to know
Drivers... always the drivers...Bonteburg wrote: It's rumoured to be a bit of a problem on Windows (don't know about that).
I know what is GM Standard ( and know about Volume 0-127 and others midi standard - "things") because I have before Roland MC-303, RM1X and DJX Yamahapljones wrote:Still got my Evolution 249-2 (no C).
synthyboy, the keyboard probably has configurable velocity response. There may be lots of settings and you may not have the best for you. You could start with "Max Velocity, no tracking", if it's available. (But really, velocity 100 is "normally loud", 127 is "as loud as is possible"... you shouldn't want to be playing that loud all the time... Although it is, of course, the correct setting in some circumstances.)
I also have a M-Audio Oxygen 61 (not the brand new version), and I am very happy with it. I use it with my desktop computer under Windows XP and my laptop under Vista, and have no problem.Bonteburg wrote:I bought an Oygen 61 in December to replace my rather knackered Evolution 249c.
8 assignable Faders, 8 assignable knobs, Mod wheel, pitch wheel, Transpose, a lot of esoteric program functions I can say but little about, 61 keys, 159 Euros.

I recommend it for Mac OSX 10.4.11.
I loved the Evolution 249c to bits, too (literally!), used it for 7 years.
