KV331 Audio

THIS HAS BEEN FIXED AND IS NO LONGER OF ANY IMPORTANCE!

I'm running a Dell Duo Core 32 Windows XP, with Cubase SX3 as the host and the presets mute the plugin when I use the midi keyboard, not all presets, but alot.

Q. Are you using Cubase with Synthmaster2

Q2. Does it work/does it fail like mine?

Q3. Version of Cubase that you use?

Q4. Windows Version?

Q5. Other relevant info, like multi-core etc...if it matters....

If you can help I would appreciate it and KV331 can read it...thanks...

Did you try with other hosts/standalone? If you did, please post results.

No, good idea, then I can find out if it's with my pc or cubase, I'll try asap with vsthost and standalone if it's possible, I only own cubase sx3, it's all I need.....

Martin, the problem he's having is: For some presets, when he changes the preset from SM2's preset browser Cubase SX3 mutes audio and he has to restart the audio engine if I understood correctly.

Is this currently happening for anyone else?

When i change/switch the presents via the browser i have no probs.

But audio-engine-restart can also be a conflict with the audio-driver, latency-mode etc

I have a tc konnekt 6, and there i have only sometimes little dropouts, but no dropouts based on using the sm2

Right, here's what I tried

I chose a patch that was muting SM2 in Cubase, PD Conjour CYF(amongst many others)

Minihost, UI wouldn't work but preset scrolling did and as soon as I got to that patch it crashed Minihost

Standalone, Tried Standalone, same patch as above crashed the Standalone, it worked till that point...

VSTHost, couldn't get this set-up properly - so no idea...

So the problem is not with Cubase SX3, it must be something else I can sort you out the error report that asks to get sent to Microsoft, but you can't copy/paste it, it has lots of info/numbers involved, please advise what info you may need...that way the problem can get isolated, I hope...

I'm gonna test this preset on many different systems. This might have something to do with the timings of your OS/CPU maybe.

At the soundprogramming of my sounds for sm2 i used 2 systems, laptop and pc, laptop was win xp home sp2 with good old logic 5. No Probs, Also there as standalone.

But(!) perhaps you system/espacially audiodriver don't ilke this patch based perhaps on the oversampling-setting?

Before i send all patches to bulent i checked all sounds some times of errors, clicking etc.

Try to reduce the oversmapling to normal(if it has 2x or 3x) and reduce unisio, if it still makes trouble i would say - MYSTERIOUS

What about the crashlog info - does that not give a hint to the source of the error...? there was alot of info...but no copy/paste function to work on it..

Not as yet, Bulent refunded me after he said he couldn't find a fix, but asked me to test it(after realising he may of found the problem and may had fixed it) and I'm a bit too skint now to spend £41 straight out, but offered to send him a paypal once a month till it's paid back so I can carry on using it, otherwise I'm going to have to uninstall it, so to wait and see, sent him a PM!

But the BIG bug has gone now, for good!

Old thread - It was fixed via an update that worked, nothing I did.

You should contact the dev himself, maybe he knows what it is!
