pljones wrote:Someone may have mentioned this. I set up a send, renamed the target channel. It stopped working.
After renaming it?

Anyway, please check again with the next version as there were indeed some issues with the rack sends and it may have been confusing.

I'm confident it's fixed in the next version.
Now "Select Send Target" doesn't do anything.
Fixed in the next version.

If I quit in a Windowed mode when I re-Start MuLab the floating Racks window is empty. Re-Docking it gets back to normal.
Same if I just ask for a New or Open session

Fixed in the next version, thanks!
sampla's filter and amplifier menus include a 'monitor audio input' option. nothing happens when i click it.
In the next version, the option is not there anymore as the option is not relevant for plug-ins used within a musynth-core patch.
the shortcut system issues were mentioned before, but here's my take on it. the system works great for me, the shortcuts are easy to setup and functionality is flawless so far. the only glitch i've noticed is that editing a shortcut deletes it instead.
MU.LAB 3 Free supports up to 16 shortcuts, cfr the preliminary info page -> see the M3 test email.

I'm quite sure the keyboard focus will have been on the Rack Desk instead of the Note Editor.

You can focus a GUI component with the mouse by clicking or hovering it.

FYI: M2 worked the same way.

pljones wrote:Hmm. Not sure on this one: I don't seem to be able to find the "(2)" version of a sequence. It's in the pool, but I don't see it in my composition. But "Delete unused" doesn't delete it.
Will research.
I'd like to be able to delete even used sequences using the Pool tool...
Possible -> Use the sequence context menu itself which is also available in the Sequence Manager (click the '=' at the right of it)

Could you please send a picture, thanks in advance!

That happened to me too.
The part I was deleting was near the bottom of the composer window - ie just above the horizontal scrollbar and the racks. I selected the part by 'drawing' round it (lassoo). While doing so, I accidentally dragged my lassoo below the scroll bar and a little way into the racks area, and it seems that if any part of a rack NAME gets included in the lassoo, then pressing the delete button produces an alert 'Delete Rack ---', etc.
Don't know the technical reason, but maybe this is what happened to you ?

(my first post on the forums !).
I assume the keyboard focus shifted to the Rack Desk as the mouse pointer was hovering the rack desk while your hand was moving to the [Delete] key. FYI: Currently MU.LAB uses a 700 ms delay for detecting mouse hovers.

Can't immediately repeat it here. Could you please give me a step by step, thanks!

;) Not if the sequence isn't visible in the composition...

It sounds like that was it -- maybe the focus shouldn't change during a select operation?

Oops, i mismessaged before. The context menu is only accessible via the '=' column at the right. I tried deleting an 'unused' sequence using its context menu in the Sequence Manager and it worked fine here. Not there?

I don't see that as a solution. It's more a matter of knowing i guess.

I did experiment with displaying the focus rectangle all the time so it's more clear where the keyboard focus is, but it looked a bit ugly, so i kept the same system as in M2.

Well now it's OK if I quit and Re Start MuLab (are you practicing Remote Influencing?) :-o

But not this way:

I'm in the Demo session
Right click in the Racks area for Windowed Mode.
Now I'm in the Windowed Floating Mode.
File> Open Session or New Session.
Now I'm in a New or Open existing session
The Floating Racks is Empty
Trying to Add New Racks do not produce anything.
Switch to Docked Mode brings everything to normal

I could try on another PC tonight.
Now I'm on a XP SP3 Xeon

<edited>
I just noticed the Open Recent Session Dialog. Brilliant!!

Yes Jo, that's it. I think I understand now.
Mouse click on Part, ready to delete it.
Then, mouse hovering ('accidentally' or otherwise) over a rack will give focus to rack after 700 ms. Pressing delete button on keyboard while rack is still has focus would then prompt for the Part's target rack to be deleted also.

:dog: I've been right-clicking it... (I've been right-clicking everywhere rather a lot...) Yes, left-click works.
