Yes, will be like this in the next version.pljones wrote:Ooh yes, meant to mention that: I really don't like that menu option. Can't the text change to "Turn Process ON" or "Turn Process OFF"?liquidsound wrote:Also "Toggle Process ON/OFF" could have a visible clue.

The extra outs you see is for any sends you plug in into the rack.Bonteburg wrote:Racks with multiple outputs in Modular window, nice!!
(but your happy remark triggered an idea, which i added to the whishlist)
I tried it here both on Win as OSX, both worked fine.I can't seem to make a new multisample from scratch (ie I can't insert a new zone)
Can you please elaborate, eventually with screenshot and/or step by step. Thanks.
MU.LAB shows a blue rectangle around the component with keyboard focus. It should be the same as in M27.Occasional blue frames around elements (like racks or the keyboard window in multisampla etc) that won't go away.

This problem will be fixed in the next version.pquenin wrote:A precision about the key shortcut problem I have : I have created a shortcut where the shortcut is a midi event, associated with the "add new track" function -> it works. Now the same midi events associated with "play/stop", "rewind" -> nothing happen ! Is it a "transport panel" problem ?

Oki, sorry Jo...

I didn't know double clicking does such an awful lot now.
Has it replaced the toolbox as well? Everything seems to work quite well without one!
But I can most positively not bring my MU.LAB 2.7 to show blue frames around components. Maybe it's a preference I turned off?
Bug:
Using "Add a sample" from the main menu crashed MU.LAB on two unrelated occasions. In 2.7 it opens up a Sampla instance.

Well... Toggle Grid ON/OFF gives you "Yes Grid/No Grid" as in "No Grid"mutools wrote:I think "Toggle On/Off" does work, but of course it doesn't have much practical effect when the grid is set to no grid.liquidsound wrote:3.06
"Toggle Grid ON/OFF" doesn't work if the Grid is set to "No Grid" option in the context menu. Maybe is intended but I can't see the advantage.
Does that explains what you encountered?
Why anyone would select "No Grid" if the same result, with additional option to turn back on, can be obtain with the Toggle command?
For the Tool Tip, yes in the Composer. Anything would be great.
The Shortcuts, no matter what, just editing anyone will Delete it. Repeatable.
Thank you for understanding the alternative method for Rewire Reason.
Jo, since I'm still rather new to MuLab here is my dumb question:
How did you insert s Send into the Bass Rack for the same Rack? Did you just drag it from another Rack? And how exactly this send works this way?

Euh, not sure what you mean with this sentence. I did notice that there is a technical problem. But not sure what you mean with "alternative method".Thank you for understanding the alternative method for Rewire Reason.
There seems to be an issue with the demo session. Will be researched. How did you insert s Send into the Bass Rack for the same Rack? Did you just drag it from another Rack? And how exactly this send works this way?

OK. An explanation is in order before panic sets in.sorohanro wrote:NOOOOOooooooo.....mutools wrote: Are you suggesting to remove the "No Grid" option?![]()

The option Toggle Grid ON/OFF does just that: Grid/ON Grid/OFF which is Yes/Grid No/Grid.
Now, if the option "No Grid" is checked than the option "Toggle Grid ON/OFF" no longer works.
Now, if you want back the grid you need to un-check "No Grid", Right?
So, having the 'No Grid" option, neutralize the Toggle system which it would give you both worlds without going checking and unchecking things....
In other worlds by just using "Toggle Grid ON/OFF" we have all choices while with the "No Grid" we do not.
How many switches do we need? One = Toggle
I know... long and confusing
No really alternative but The other way.mutools wrote: Euh, not sure what you mean with this sentence. I did notice that there is a technical problem. But not sure what you mean with "alternative method".

Hi All,
[Jo] - "Are you suggesting to remove the "No Grid" option?"
I think I understand what liquidsound is saying from his in depth explanation and as far as I can tell he is right.
Indeed
R/C > Part > Grid > Choose Grid > Grids > "No Grid"
The "No Grid" in the Grids menu seems unnecessary as you have now created the toggle Grid On/Off menu item and Edit shortcut etc.
What I need is set grid 1/16 > then toggle grid off > toggle grid back on to 1/16. (just one example of ON/OFF/ON)
The No Grid functionality is still there for human feel etc.
So removing the "No Grid" menu item from the Grid menu seems logical and avoids the issue outlined by liquidsound.
Unless I too have missed something.
Anyone else see a problem with this?
OZ

Hi OZTheGuysanIdiot wrote:What I need is set grid 1/16 > then toggle grid off > toggle grid back on to 1/16. (just one example of ON/OFF/ON)
What you wish is actually implemented.
Just set the desired Grid (uncheck the No Grid option though!) and then Toggle the Grid ON/OFF as you wish with a Shortcut and there you have it: 1/16 > No Grid > 1/16 etc.
It's great!

Hi liquidsound,
Yes I know it already works like that. I was just agreeing with your idea of removing the "No Grid" thing.
Indeed M3 is super.

I agree OZ, M3 is really looking good.
I'm a long time user of energyXT but Xt has never been as elegant and so intelligently simple as MuLAb and now with the new features in M3 I see no reason to keep using XT no matter how many option it has.
Jorgen is like Jo. He never stops. But what makes Jo so different it's his vision of simplicity and the ability to implement it while accommodating MuLab user's needs.
A winner.

what liquidsound is saying is quite true, having both the 'no grid' and 'toggle grid on/off' options at the same time is not very logical.TheGuysanIdiot wrote:So removing the "No Grid" menu item from the Grid menu seems logical and avoids the issue outlined by liquidsound.
removing the 'no grid' menu item is one possible solution of the problem, BUT...
what if the 'no grid' menu item remains untouched, and the 'toggle grid on/off' changes to 'snap to grid on/off' instead? this way we could keep the grid on-screen even when the snapping is off, and have more orientation when adding the human feel by freely moving the notes.
the way things are set up at the moment, when the grid is switched off by either toggling it off or selecting the no grid menu option, the only orientation left on the piano roll are the beat measures i believe. wouldn't it be neat to have a 1/16th grid on-screen even when the notes don't snap to it?

In other words the "No Grid" bottom option in the contex menu becomes only a visual command (show/hide grid' lines) while the Toggle ON/OFF actually turns on the Grid/snap feature.bpblog wrote:what if the 'no grid' menu item remains untouched, and the 'toggle grid on/off' changes to 'snap to grid on/off' instead? this way we could keep the grid on-screen even when the snapping is off, and have more orientation when adding the human feel by freely moving the notes.
