You say "regardless of permutations", so I imagine that different brands of drives were used, and it did not matter what hardware configuration? What does "stuck" mean? Was the hard drive damaged, or was the data on the drive corrupt in some way? Was it salvageable? Was the BIOS corrupt? Did swapping the drive out (with a new imaged drive) at that point result in a successful boot (which would have proved that it wasn't the motherboard or bios)? I just don't see how testing could conclude that the Receptor gets "stuck" and there is no further technical explanation.Rick@MuseResearch wrote:IDE'S were not a problem, only SATA.
I know the point of this OS upgrade for many is SATA, but I am interested more in the OS itself. I for one would be willing to compromise with IDE to be done with this. Actually, the main purpose for me was to get Pianoteq 3 working, but I have that working in OS 1.7, so I am losing my interest in this. I really don't wish to pursue this any further unless there is some breakthrough.
