By the way, when you want to make such independent patch packs, then note you can save your patches inside your patch pack folder via right-clicking the Save As button, then a file browser allows to save the patch anywhere on your computer. (whereas just leftclicking Save As wil save the patch inside the MU.LAB library)

Could you change the label when right-clicking so it's clear it's a different operation? "Save Patch to..."?

"Save Patch As" and "Save Patch To"?
Mmm, i rather stick to a uniform "Save Patch As".
But i do agree we could use a way to make that function more obvious. It's a bit too hidden at the moment. Maybe i should put it in the Options menu.

If both operations let you choose the folder and filename, then it's okay for them to be named the same.
If they have different functions (i.e. one is restricted to library), then they need different names -- else how can they have separate shortcuts?
I was thinking "As" means just change the name where as "To" implies a different location. Perhaps it should be "Save Copy" and "Save As", then - with "Copy" (only) requesting a new name for the patch and saving it to the location it was loaded from and "Save As" allowing full freedom?

That's about M3 or M2 ?mutools wrote:By the way, when you want to make such independent patch packs, then note you can save your patches inside your patch pack folder via right-clicking the Save As button, then a file browser allows to save the patch anywhere on your computer. I tried that in M2, worked, but when I move the folder the sampler can't find the files anymore.
