What OS are you using and do you use many plugins?

Could you try this:

open a saved session, play it, from there open a new session, opening a preset from MUTOOLS synhts, for instance Synthia opens, I make a sequence with some notes via clicking the grid, I switch between presets and then decide to exit MU.LAB and click the sign to close, crash..

Somehow most crashes seem to occur when I open a saved session, play it, then open another or a new session, open and play some synth, and then close the program (or sometimes it crashes while closing the first session/changing sessions).

I'm sorry I can't give Jo some clear and constructive info about this, because I have no clue what causes this and therefore what info matters in this case..

Moving the start point of a looped sequence during playback (ie the left green flag thingy) in the arranger window crashes MU.LAB OSX 10.4.11.

Tired now but I'll post a crashlog on the morrow.

But somehow I keep getting strange crashes from time to time. And that is on my windows XP laptop. I get random crashes on my Vista PC too from time to time. It happens a lot when exiting the program. I really have no idea what causes this on both of my systems (and both systems are completely different in configurations, hardware, drivers, OS, etc.).

Does anyone else having this kind of problems or did you never have any crash in M3 the last weeks?

There is one tester reporting something similar via email.

I tried to repeat the crash but couldn't get it crashing here.

Are the crashes only there on Quit? Or does it crash while you're editing too?

Is there a repeatable pattern in the crashing? If yes, please give the step by step. Eventually email me a session with which you can make it crash every time.

How many beta testers are there right now (and are active) if I may ask?

Count the testers here on the forum + add some more testers who communicate via email only.

Could you please make a log file doing this:

1) Help menu -> Start logging
2) Edit menu -> Audio Setup -> In Audio Setup just click OK
3) Quit

Then please mail me the most recent Logyyyymmdd-hhmmss.txt in your mulab folder. Thanks.

I have tried this but no crash.
I use Windows XP (and also Vista on my laptop). I use 10 to 20 plugins per session...

I hope is not my damn dHell laptop again but I can't create a Shared part any longer with 3.0.11.
[Ctrl]+[Shift}+Drag...
It was working in the 3.0.10 version.
Unless there has been a change and I didn't see it.

Yes there an issue slipped into 3.0.11:

To make a shared part copy, start dragging the part but only hold Ctrl/Shift once dragging. It's fixed in 3.0.12!

I use Windows. On my pc I use Vista with ASIO driver and on my laptop I use XP with MME. It seems to crash mostly on exiting and changing sessions (I guess there is exiting too).

I have posted here before the contents of a crashlog but, there was almost on info in it:

Yes also the second step please as it will log details regarding the audio engine.

What exactly happens when the crash occurs? Do you get a red screen from MU.LAB? Or does Windows says MU.LAB crashed? In the latter case could you please send the crash report.

I also get crashes on both of my systems when switching through presets while playing a sequence in Vember Audio SURGE

But sometimes the application just seems to hang and the cursor doesn't respond to where I click. Like there is a dialog screen that I can't see and therefore click on. It might be the red screen. I also got the red screen once when I got the change-presets-in-Surge-crash. I now have a Crashed.MuSession file in my MULAB dir.

Jo, I think it happens when notes in a sequence go across beat lines. I made a version of the projects where the notes never crossed a beat line and it worked fine!
