So how do I browse to and drag a .wav audio file to the composer easily?
You can drag audio files from a Windows file explorer to a MU.LAB window.
I also don't understand how the Audio File Manager works.. It's empty and I can't seem to put in a default path to my audio files? What's the purpose?
http://www.mutools.com/mulab/docs/main-menu.html

It's just to have an overview of the audio files that you already used in the session. You can also delete audio files there.

mutools wrote: I forgot to say that PreferredFilesAndFolders.txt only changes after quitting MU.LAB. MU.LAB writes it on exit so to memorize things next time.

MU.LAB simply remembers the last folder you selected.
I have installed and rescanned probably more than 20 times new plugins from thjat particular folder and opened and closed it probably more than 50 times. Same behavior on 2 systems, really.. :-o

For that particular folder it doesn't remember

c:\program files\vstplugins\ is being scanned everytime and c:\program files\ is being remembered.

So much strange things that only I seem to have.. And so much little for me personally intuitive things..

Just reinstalled Orion for the time being.. :hihi:

There indeed is an issue: when selecting a folder to be scanned, the parent folder of that folder was memorized instead of the foldr itself. Will be fixed in the next version.

pquenin wrote:I have MULAB installed on my PC at work, where I use it with the MME audio interface, and I have no more sound with 3.0.14.

I don't remember with version was installed before 3.0.10 or 3.0.11, but there was no problem...

EDIT : in fact, it works well if I put a mulab synth, but I have no sound with a VSTi ?!!!
I checked 3.0.14 with MME and a VSTi, and it works fine here.

Are you sure you're not overlooking something? Sorry to ask. It's just so strange.
I create a new session, put a synthia in the first slot of the first rack : OK
I replace the synthia with a VSTi : no sound
I put the synthia back (or a musynth) : OK
I try with another VSTi : no sound3

EDIT : very strange, the TAL-Elek7ro VSTi works, but I have no sound with any other VSTi I've tried..
:o

Anyone else having this issue?
I have to say that all other VSTis that I have used are Synthedit ones, maybe there is a problem with Synthedit plugins only ?

I am now at home and I have tried to load VSTi with Mulab 3.0.14, using an Asio driver here.

I have the same problem than with MME at work :
- all of the Synthedit plugins I've tried don't produce sound anymore,
- most of the non-Synthedit plugins work, but not all (well the only one for the moment is the Luxonix Ravity S)...

So you must have changed something because with 3.0.11 I had no problems

I can repeat the problem, so that's good.

It's indeed caused by a change between .11 and .12.

I'm narrowing it down now, but will continue tomorrow.

Sorry for the inconvenience, didn't expect this.

Talk soon.

Update: It's a tough issue, still researching. Might take some time :(

Found the issue. Incredible how this one slipped in

Anyway, key is that the "sometime no sound from VST plugin" bug should be fixed in the next version, which i'll upload asap.

Update:

There is also another serious issue in 3.0.14, a graphical one.

I'm going to fix that one first before uploading 3.0.15.

ETA of 3.0.15: Earliest tomorrow, maybe saturday.

Talk soon.
