M3 3.0.15 bug

- Record a midi sequence
- play it
- right click, delete the sequence
- Record a new sequence
- play it - ??? NO SOUND??

If you delete the part and then start over it's OK.

I too have observed this today.

After following your steps as above, I went to the EDIT menu ->Audio Setup. Clicked 'YES' for "this will stop the audio engine", then simply clicked 'OK' at the Audio Setup box to close it again, which took me (via the 'maybe later' button) back to the Composer window. The sequence then played normally again.

It seemed that deleting the Sequence via it's context menu had switched off the audio engine.
If, instead, I deleted all notes of the sequence via the Sequence Editor window, the problem didn't arise.

It has never happened before. In addition to the redraw issues, I was unable to perform mouse operations in the arranger window for some time (sometimes the arranger blacked out too, but sometimes it was unresponsive though visible.

Closing and reopening MU.LAB fixes it.

I don't know what caused it but it happened when I was clicking on the track area on the left (I believe).
Does this happen frequently?

How many times have you seen something like this?

OK, then is the same as "Zoom All". I remember you said the same thing.
But you were able at least to use the MMB for "Zoom All" which works great!

So the difficulty must be for the shortcuts but it was OK for the mouse to do it.
Can then the MMB distinguish between two modes:

Nothing is selected = Zoom All

OR

Something is selected = Zoom There (Selected only)?

It is the same question but toward the the solution you've provided with the MMB/Zoom-All because I am not specific to the Shortcut solution (of course shortcuts are more than welcome and it is well worth the wait for them) :)
I'm not convinced that putting 2 different functionalities under 1 button is a good solution.

I understand that you're eager to have a "Zoom Selection" shortcut.

Please be a bit patient with this. It will be implemented between 3.0 and 3.5.

Just this once - I think it's safe to give it a miss for now. :D

Yes, I can reproduce this too. I think that when you delete the sequence, the part become empty and muted, so when you record again, the new sequence is in the old muted part.

In 3.0.15, i opened a project and ignored some missing samples. When i double clicked on the audio parts containing these samples to open them, the part editor did not appear, the time bar disappeared and while i could still see the composition view, i couldn't interact with it. Pressing escape to close the part editor restored things to normal, so it seemed like the part editor had in fact opened, but with visual problems.

this is vaguely similar to my bug a page or so ago (with pics).

Did they black out?

Maybe it's a more common and universal problem than I made it out to be.

I must agree. You're right.
Thank you for the future implement. :)

If i do this i get an 'empty' Audio Lab, just a grey background. But it looks consistent. Looks quite ok/logical to me.

Can you please email me a screenshot of what you see.

Bonteburg wrote:Well, in MU.LAB 2.7 when you had 8 equal parts, you could just select them all, change the length of one and they'd all be shorter by that amount.

In MU.LAB 3, this functionality is broken or has changed in a way I can't get my head around.
Tuned in the next version. Will be the same as in M27.

Yup, your picture was what reminded me of it.

@Jo, I'm back home now and on a different computer without the USB stick the project was on but I'll try and reproduce it and get back to you. It was very similar to Bonte's pic, although I can't remember if I had the rack artefacts.

I haven't much time lately to check latest updates but I did some quick Linux tests with latest update 3.0.15.
Things I experienced:
- While playing with MUX and MuSynth in editor mode I noticed that I can't add new bricks/elements, replace function does not also work. Sometimes it looks that new window flashes and disappears after a millisecond.
- The same thing happens for replace function in main rack. Adding new synth/effect in empty slot works without problems.
- While cycling through MuSynth presets I noticed that some of them do not have parameter control knobs in top window.

As you don't support Linux I'm not asking this to be fixed, but anyway I'm posting this for your information ;)

Just been trying this out. Two issues I noticed with certain VST instruments:

Karmafx synth: The first note(s) does not get played in a sequence if it right at the point of when play is started.

Wusikstation: When moving the controls on it's GUI with a mouse when record is activated none of the changes are recorded.
