- as far as I know, this signal isn't available anywhere else;
- it isn't documented;
- moreover, it doesn't seem to make any difference whether I'm using the regular KeyFollow or its little brother;
ACE's key-follow 2

does anybody know what's that KeyFollow2 that comes right after KeyFollow in the source menu for ACE's mapping generator?

Maybe it is related to "duophonic" mode.
Could be like there are two portamento settings in duophonic mode...
Did you already try using KeyFollow2 together with duophonic mode?

I am going to venture that one is for VCF1 and the other for VCF2. I've not tested this theory, but that would be my first assumption. (Edit: Zebra has Keyfollow2 as a Mod source as well so forget what I just said. I don't know how the filter key track would affect the mapper anyway. I must be sleeping)

One has to start a bit before: Glide2 is an *offset* to the normal Glide, but it only affects LFO2, OSC2, VCF2. This is explained in the manual.
Keyfollow2 is the resulting modulation source in the normal modulation bus that all u-he plugins have, e.g. Zebra. It's not available with a cable socket for the audio rate modulations in ACE as its main application is the glide offset for LFO/OSC/VCF 2. I don't think anyone really misses it... or?

ah, you mean it's the resulting reference point for portamento after shifting it by the offset setting of glide 2?
thank you so much: this makes sense even though I'm not quite sure how I can put it to good use!
