What's changed in MU.LAB test 3.0.24: http://www.mutools.com/mulab/azalea/mul ... hanges.txt
I like the revised folder structure, etc - but I notice that, since MU.LAB test 3.0.23, the "LibraryFolders.txt mechanism" has been removed from the Settings folder.
Previously, I had my 3rd party presets (for MultiSampla) stored in a folder outside of the MULAB folder (for example "C:\Instruments\Mulab Multisampla\3rd party presets").
With this path added into the "LibraryFolders.txt" file, then when I clicked a rack slot, the 'Choose Plug-in' menu looked like this:

and I could load my presets directly.
Now I'm wondering, can I achieve a similar result, via the new "MULAB\User\Library" folder ?

Well this synth costs 20 bucks so it's no big loss.liquidsound wrote: "fridtjof"
could you tell me how I should test Xils in order to understand what's happening to you?
I kind of like this synth...I would not mind getting one.
It might not like how Mulab works with Snow Leopard.
It works flawlessly in Live, RAX and Logic (except for the CPU spikes), so it's only a problem in AUlab and Mulab.
One issue might be the audio input of Xils. Maybe some soft of delay or click is causing the feedback. Trust me its nasty and it happens almost every time.
After installing the latest build, Xils 3 LE doesnt even import into Mulab.
Fatal Error it says. So clearly its not communicating well.
I LOVE the sound of this synth as well. The only software synth I've heard since Oddity that has that sweet analog character.

Splitting is not an option now, sorry.pljones wrote:I've yet to try it. But i'll make the mouse hover delay time a preference.

Sure: Just drop the "3rd party presets" folder inside your Mulab/User/Library/MuSynth folder and you're thereImproviser wrote:Now I'm wondering, can I achieve a similar result, via the new "MULAB\User\Library" folder ?

Another bug I think. If you drag a sample onto the Multisampla's keyboard instead of the zone area it does not show a zone for it but the sound is assigned to the key.
It would be a nice feature too if on any of the keyboards (eg piano roll editor), when you click on a key to audition a sound, if you then move the mouse up and down the keyboard it plays the keys. This would make it quick to find drum kit sounds without wearing your clicking finger out.

It works now. Thanks !mutools wrote:Sure: Just drop the "3rd party presets" folder inside your Mulab/User/Library/MuSynth folder and you're thereImproviser wrote:Now I'm wondering, can I achieve a similar result, via the new "MULAB\User\Library" folder ?
When I had first downloaded and unzipped MU.LAB test 3.0.24, the "Mulab/User/Library" folder was empty, so just adding my "3rd party presets" into it didn't work. Now that I've created a folder "MuSynth" inside the Library folder, and put the "3rd party presets" folder inside that one, everything is ok.
Possible downside (?) - my "3rd party presets" folder is no longer 'outside' of the MULAB folder, so I guess I would need to copy/move it over into any future main versions of MULAB ?

Confirmed, fixed in the next version. Thanks!cytone wrote:Another bug I think. If you drag a sample onto the Multisampla's keyboard instead of the zone area it does not show a zone for it but the sound is assigned to the key.

'Remove' option available from the VST manager is very convenient, thanks for implementing!

Sorry if I've missed something, but is there now no way to route alternative outputs in a rack?
As I use a lot of drum samplers I tend to use this function quite a lot, so in M3 I'm always having to add these plugins to the modular area and do it that way.
Secondly, on the two computers I've tried 3.0.24 on, a toggle snap shortcut does not work in the composer view.
With the generic toggle snap command, the snap on/off status toggles in the little status box on the bottom right but it makes no difference moving parts around.
If I use the specific composition toggle snap command nothing at all happens, even in the status box.
@Jazz: Delete works as well, which is handy.

robenestobenz, check this out:

i haven't tried this out yet though. it may turn out to be cool, but i think i will be missing the old [right click plugin slot >> connect alternative outputs] setup. it was dead simple.

Basically there are 2 ways of using a multi-out VST plugin:robenestobenz wrote:Sorry if I've missed something, but is there now no way to route alternative outputs in a rack?

1) Put it in the MPA and route the outs as you want.
2) Put a MUX in a rack and put the multi-out VST in that MUX and do all submixing in that MUX. Cfr this preview of a little tutorial on how to do it within a rack:
http://www.mutools.com/temp2348/using-a ... in-a-rack/
Researching...Secondly, on the two computers I've tried 3.0.24 on, a toggle snap shortcut does not work in the composer view.

A better (let say more flexible) way is the "Famous" option of having the note sound while they are created so you hear them while moving them around the editor.Improviser wrote:+1cytone wrote: It would be a nice feature too if on any of the keyboards (eg piano roll editor), when you click on a key to audition a sound, if you then move the mouse up and down the keyboard it plays the keys. Much more efficient than going to the keyboard with the mouse consistently.
I said "Option" because this way is not so practical while the DAW is playing.
It gets in the way because the new created note, sounds at the wrong time being away from the cursor moving position.
So an option would be better and again many DAWs are already using this method but few, if I remember well, have the option to turn the sound off....
MuLab has the option with the Magnify Glass but that is totally a different approach.
Way to late for work-flow
I have been waiying for this feature for long time but I never requested, but as you pointed out with the Drums is even more practical.
