Hi All,
New owner of a used Receptor2 Pro from ebay.
Works great in MIDI setup. (has komplete5 on it)
But got it exclusively for BFD2 drums.
My issue is - tried to create the network connection
\\receptor\hard drive but the path comes back invalid.
I've since downloaded and installed Receptor remote control
and can get the remote view on my laptop (XP pro SP3).
For the hell of it I tried to connect to the hard drive
from the RRC but I get these errors "FAILED TO KILL PROCESS
XXXX - ERROR CODE 4 - the xxxx is the four digit # for all the times
I tried- I have them if it means anything. It's probably because
I don't have an actual network connection to receptor.
I did ask the ebay seller for any input about an hour ago.
Hopefully he can provide some clues.
I only plan on using the laptop connection for updates and
new plug installs- the receptor will part of a separate setup.

Tim,
You'll want to make sure a few things are set up on y our windows machine to get this to work. Specifically go into control panel and make sure your windows PC has 'file sharing' turned on. You can turn this on by running the network setup wizard again. Other than that you'll want to double check network settings on Receptor are correct (crossover mode if you are using a crossover connection, etc..)

I am using the crossover connection and it's selected in the Receptor as well.
I was setting up the new connection with the file sharing on but when I go to enter the \\Receptor\Hard Drive path XP says it's not a valid folder.
I tried a bunch of different things.
I eventually loaded the remote software and can see the remote view on the laptop so XP must be seeing it. The seller used it on a Mac, I asked him if he had maybe changed the Receptor name at some point. Though since I got it it just says Receptor.
Off topic, since this is a used Receptor, how do I transfer ownership? The seller also included the iLok.

Actually I figure it out...the Client for MS Networks button was off.
Came right up after that through the receptor RC...
