Jo, is there a possibility to envision a Mixer Strip Desk in the modular enviroment, say a MUX.
This would allow sub-mixing inside the the MuSynth or MUX (great for drum kits etc.) before reaching a Rack.
This would give more room in the Rack Desk and also it could be saved as a Preset. I know we could use the 16 parameters but it seems a waste to use the for Gain, Pan,and Width. This is much better achieved in terms of workflow by a Mixer Strip Desk.
It could popup when need it or just float inside the Play area of the MUX/MuSynth.

In Reason we can do this inside the Combinator and it is extremely handy.

What do you think?

<edit> I am aware of course that all this is available and it can be saved as it is but it is different to just have the ability to have a kind of mixer at the first level of the Play area or even better just floating in the main area when needed. I don't think a Rack here instead of the Strip would make sense since everything is done already at a modular level...<edit>

Yep, i agree that's a good idea. Whether it's a rack desk or a mixerstrip desk, i think both are relevant. Will think of it some more. Added a note on the wishlist.

+1000 for this :)

I would like to have this implemented for the drummachine

BTW talking about racks in the MUX, while building the racks version of my drummachine i found that there's a difference of +-7% in cpu use between both versions, one has 8 racks, and the other 0, is that normal?

It was while watching your video that I realized that even though I always thought that the MUX overall, IMO, is more powerful than the Reason Combinator, the ability to load a Mixer ( EQs, Sends, Master etc) in it gave it an edge over the MUX.
The Combinator is one of the most powerful system I know to build a drum apparatus.
In your video you have challenged that status quit well my friend!

Thanks

That video was recorded on the fly, without planification, i'm preparing another one, hope a much better one. Anyway i still need help to get a good sound (if you reply this, do it in the video thread :))

Anyway, you can have a mixer inside the mux, with sends etc, the only problem is that is a bit of pain to open/close each rack separately. Sometimes i get shocked by the amount of windows i have floating around. The best solution for this would be what Jo suggested in another thread, to have the module controls directly avalaible from the mux deep editor.
