Yes that makes sense. So protected patches can not be uploaded for instance.
Exactly. Don't want sound designers avoiding this synth because they're afraid someone will upload their work to the online library making it instant freeware.
This is exactly why i won't contribute..It's a good idea in theory though.
Soundsets whatever they may be have a very short life span once released to the world at large..months of work can be all for nothing with the freeware or should i say freeloaders out there.
Mind there are many honest people out there aswell..I just can't see how this would work without a hitch.

I see, but here's my counter argument: How do people currently share presets?

BTW, Rob, I cant PM you! Give me another week to reach "beta" status.

There are threads like this one:

And people post links like above. It is also possible above for users to slighly modify "professional" presets and post links of their versions? It's just a matter of trust, the method of sharing is not important I guess. I'm just trying to make it easier for users to share their presets

Yes, September is the month of the official release.

EDIT: In 2 weeks I have to finalize the feature set, and also we can have at least one skin ready. At that time we can release the official "beta"

This weekend I'll make a crossplatform alpha9 release!
I am down :hihi: thanks for the reply..

Im not knocking your idea Bulent by no means.Im just saying that there's no way i'd be up for that malarky :-o
Also i don't mind if people modify my presets as long as they don't pass them off or try and sell them on later.
Your idea is a good one but not for me.If i do factory content for synths hard or soft then i don't care what happens with them once i hand them over :)
@Bulent
I know you can't pm me i just switched it off coz im being bombed for audio demos and i have no time..

I agree. It would be especially useful if they could have a star rating system or be flagged for being a duplicate.

I'm planning to implement the rating system, and also introduce some checks so duplicates can not be uploaded!

Bulent, check out Image Line ones, Toxic Biohazard sure has something online for presets, i don't remember well for the other IL plugins.
Also the now defunct Key2Sound NexSyn had an online sharing/browsing presets system.
