My only request for the 2.5 release...

Okay, so I like being able to use the "left/right" arrow keys on my computer keyboard to flip through the presets... I really do not like using my mouse to click, click, click...

Will this feature be available in the 2.5 release? It is probably my only gripe besides the CPU use for the Synthmaster... It just slows me down having to navigate the presets with my mouse.

Please, please help me developers... I like to just browse the presets easily, find a similar sound I need then change it. :)

With our VSTGUI 3.6 upgrade, I think this issue will be fixed as well. Will test today.

you'll be able to edit the the patch fairly easy as well. I've included an easy editor which has various parameters that should make it easy to tweak a patch to your liking. Here a an image of it

kv, any chance program changes will make it in 2.5?

I can try to squeeze that in. How should the workflow be for that though? Like assigning presets to programs I mean?

I guess my gripe is more that when I choose "Pads" as my category/flavor of choice... I cannot then use the arrows to scroll through to the next "Pads" preset... if anything it takes me back to the beginning presets (which have nothing to do with the previously selected "Pads" preference).

I would like to be able to just ...roll... on through all the "Pads" or whatever the general template sound is that I am looking for. Without having to reach for my clumsy mouse, locate the next preset and double click it, hehe. Its not laziness, its just too dang slow that way.

I hope that makes sense.

How about folders starting with 3 digits being a MIDI-bank(range 000 to 127), the first 128 presets, (sorted on name) would then be the MIDI-programs.

You could take this one step further by introducing a 2-level folder-structure: the 1st level starting with 3 digits would then be the MSB-banks, each MSB-bank could then contain up to 128 LSB-banks, in each LSB-bank the first 128 presets represent the MIDI-programs.

That makes sense. Initially, I can have a config file where users can edit the presets in the bank. (No UI provided, but later on I can add that!)

With my proposition no config file is needed, SM2.5 simply reads the 1st 128 filenames from a folder, which is much easier for the user

Just tested with Reaper on Windows XP. Up/Down keys work, and I can change presets!

Bulent this is actually a great idea...the ability to use up/down arrow keys to go through presets. I think I suggested it too.

If you could make SM 2.5 have the ability to use program changes it might be the first VI to actually DO this! I've been hoping a VI would come along with this feature. :o

qwerty arrows work great in Reaper but not working in XT2

IMO it would be nice to be able to map the action to scroll up & down through the presets to any midi controller,
