As you know, when you instantiate a SynthMaster instance, it starts with the first preset in the list: 2D Bass. I think from a "marketing" point of view, that's a bad choice.

Which preset should be the "initial" preset? Let's hear your favorites :)

initial(Init, Initialize)= 1 saw tooth OSC flat no filters no FX,

the default preset on the other hand should be a bass pad lead (full rich & sexy sounding) IMO :)

Since I very rarely use presets, I personaly prefer an Init (new default sound in the New menu), start tweaking right away. Most of the synths I own when I can I make them start with an initialzed preset.
Just my 2c.

yes, I would appreciate an init preset to be included as well. It makes it much quicker to start making my own presets.

Well, I guess it should be something simple but strong that shows off at least one of Synthmaster's strengths. Could be a nice sawtooth bass with a lightly distorted filter in dual mode or something, maybe with a little bit of reverb and delay. Maybe the oscillator could be in vector mode so that it starts as a saw, but if you try holding a note it slowly morphs to other shapes, etc.

I think the key is something that sounds impressive and usable, and isn't overly showy.
