So it's by this "reserve", "conservatory", beahaviour that we get better?

I don't think there's something "pure" to save about that, sounds and synths, just my point of view.

i'm not sure... i think though that ultimately we have no control over this because while a few individuals such as urs may want to behave in a noble manner, you'll have hundreds of others flinging mud.

i think my "flinging mud" analogy although not specifically chosen was a very accurate one.

if urs is there all in white with everyone else flinging mud, you can see what the result will be. it's no advantage for someone to give up on making such marketing claims while their competitors continue making them - it'll just lend credit to those false claims and make it look like the "noble" product is lacking.

Nice picture and analogy, but still you can choose (your style), I got mud often I think

okay guys, i'll start an initiative, every new product page will be checked by a so called "etiquette commission" (currently formed by.. me

) and if it is within the good etiquette - it'll recieve a special logo thingie "This product was approved by the Etiquette Commission."

by the way, admiral isn't the only mike - i was referring to mike from refx. don't get the confused. aq has called me a lot more than just "idiot"

but that was a crime of passion so it's forgivable.

My Etiquette Quango is superior to antto's etiquette commission. First of all, mine consistently uses capital letters, so is clearly more authoritative, and mine has the air of indulgent respectability associated with a non-government organisation.

More over, mine has the initials EQ which has plenty of analogue associations, which engenders deep respect, awe, and wonder from the unwashed masses, and tugs at their deep seated needs for approval.

The EQ will recognise any ec recommendations, since ec is a very deserving, respectable and highly regarded body. But if you really want to stand out, then you need an EQ rating.

This post would gain a 0dB (deservedly Better) rating. Anything less Hz.
