well i guess the reverb isn't completely fixed then, it seemed to work in my demo of reaper but it might be something that happens on/off depending on when you run it. i'll take a closer look. it might also be that you don't have the newest version, try clearing your browser cache before you download it again.
the quantizer shouldn't have any problems. it hasn't been changed, but the one on the site now is newer. you'll need to let me know what causes it - for example if you're changing the bits knob and it crashes, or what?

Ringmod seems fine now. I'm not getting the CPU spikes from before.aciddose wrote:the reverb and ringmod should be cured now, i don't experience those problems anymore. can somebody test that to confirm?
Reverb is exhibiting a few issues, though. As I tweak the Echo parameter, the effect will occasionally stutter and hang for a few seconds while repeatedly outputting the last chunk of audio it received, but it will eventually recover from this and resume normal output. I get a similar problem while tweaking the Range parameter, which results in a more dramatic hang and a huge CPU spike, but it does not seem to recover from this as I have to reload/reinitialise the effect itself.
Edit: In this case 'tweak' refers to rapidly spinning the knobs around like a bloody idiot, intentionally trying to cause problems.

that one is strange - i just uploaded a fixed version that i'm now pretty certain cures the init problem.
that it would be able to hang is really odd. it's generating an invalid value there. i'm not sure why it "hangs" - actually it just stops being able to process the audio because the delay buffers aren't there. i'll try to find out what causes this and fix it. i wouldn't think it would be possible actually, but oh well. i'll let you know when i fix it. (i was able to change this parameter before and it didn't cause any issue, so it must be a recent introduction)

ok, that reverb issue should have been fixed.
the "echo" part might need a better label. the reverb has a global feedback. "echo" controls the amount of delay time after the entire reverb signal is mixed and filtered before it's fed back into the input. "feedback" after the echo parameter is the amount of global feedback.
so the weird stuttering you get is actually due to the delay time being increased or decreased and the old content still being in the buffer. the other option would be to null the buffer, or cross-fade between the lengths.
i'm planning on doing a tempo-synced delay with cross fading later on, so that'll get backported into the reverb.
another option would be to smooth the delay time change, then you'd just get pitch effects when changing it.

The Range parameter seems to behave normally now, but I'm definitely still having issues with the Echo parameter.aciddose wrote:ok, that reverb issue should have been fixed.
It's pretty much my entire system hanging when this occurs, not simply some stuttering in the output. It doesn't happen all of the time, either, just at certain times while adjusting the parameter.so the weird stuttering you get is actually due to the delay time being increased or decreased and the old content still being in the buffer.
Obviously this is hard to test for, so I spent the last few minutes trying to use CamStudio to capture a video of it. This proved quite difficult, since the video capture simply started hanging along with the audio output from my host.
So, what I've done instead is use my crappy point-and-shoot camera to capture a live video of my screen and speaker output:
http://illformed.org/temp/ad_reverb_bug_xvid.avi
Video shows Ableton Live 8.1.5, followed by Renoise 2.6.0
Apologies for the poor quality video and sound since the camera is very old, but hopefully you get the idea anyway.

dblue; oh that's really weird. i can't make it do that at all. i'll send you some stuff to test in pm.

the one on the site should be fixed now - the problem was system specific. might have been something related to audio drivers, we're not sure.

Reverb causes an error upon listing in REAPER 3.69. I also had trouble loading ringmod (caused my system to hang). The rest of them seem to work and sound great! The GUIS look fine (and are functional more importantly) but it wouldn't hurt to see a little bit of eye candy
Don't make it anything too fancy though

I tried the limiter last week or so, that was a good deal. It worked at the time well in vsthost.

I'm guessing not.. I downloaded the individual dll's and had no problem with either plugin! Maybe it was just the versions in the "all effects" zip I downloaded that were giving me issuesaciddose wrote:aeron, is that with the newest one?

ok - they're the same. probably you need to clear your cache to grab the zip again, since you'll just open the old version each time without clearing it first.
i'll start versioning incrementally (1, 2, 3, 4) on the filenames from now on.

if i could suggest anything, could you zip the dlls and change names of compressed files?
btw, would you care to share some information about direction, range, spread and distribution parameters?
