yes; the tiny keyboard is what I'm not so fond of, and making it bigger would be cumbersome although that wouldn't matter so much just for editing.

What I would actually like to be able to do though is to set a root note and then enter the following notes at each step via MIDI input (from a MIDI keyboard).

RR
Intel Mac, OSX 10.8x, RME Fireface, Logic 9

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this already...But midi out on the arpeggiator would be fantastic!

Thanks.
It's a tough one. Once the arpeggiator is beefed up from an "add on" for sound designers to a full blown performace tool, then maybe there's a chance that a MIDI out would be cool. But at the current stage it doesn't provide anything that any decent host can't usually do as well.
I feed a lot of wild generative midi data into the arp. I also use Consequence, but the results from Zebra sound better for some reason. Cheers for the response.

a modulation source that is just a constant??
so that we can control many values via automation with just one modulation source!

something irrelevant: in the modmixer, mode fade1/2 by 3xC, when im not even using mod3, changing the constant crossfades between 1 and 2.. which is not what it is supposed to do..
But its the thing i wanted to do! :D
(if this constant just multiplied the mixed modulation signal, this constant modulation source that i suggested would do the trick to easily mix via automation ;) )

1) Try the other ModMixer modes.
2) Use "sum modulations" with nothing in the 3 slots, automate Constant.
3) Of course you can do what you want and much more with an X/Y pad - automate the X and/or Y knob of each pad.

oops :p
im not using x-y pads so i missed this one.

but about modmixer, the fade1/2 by 3xC issue, is it a bug, or a manual mistake?

for a test i used mmix1 modulating osc1 pitch.
lfo's for mod1 and mod2 at different rates and modwheel for mod3, if modhweel is all the way down, modmixer outputs mod1 signal while changing the contant does nothing.
if modhweel is all the way up, changing the constant crossfades between mod1 and mod2

It's a "feature" ;). An error in the manual - Constant scales Mod3. Well spotted :tu:

gr333k wrote:an idea for easier morphing modes

a mouse modifier that "writes" (kinda like in blening modes) writes the y-position of the poition of the points (by sweeping the mouse)

sory if what i write doesnt make sense :P
to make it simpler:
just like how you "write" the points in the user lfo, a ctrl/alt/something combo to write existing points in the wave/spectro morph, and the MSEGs!

also:
why not throw in the new modules a simple volume leveller/gain? if splitting signal and one goes to an xmf, it is needed ;)

Use a Mixer module.

Is it just my browser's formatting of the u-he forum page or does this thread actually have 1,102,180,047 replies?

'Cause if it's the second, Urs might be busy for a while ...

Any chance of Zebra (or a different synth) getting a vactrol low pass gate style module in it?

Not sure yet. I don't know enough about this stuff. How does it work and what's special about it?

Vactrol = evil :? (from what I've heard so far)

Yay! Evil! ^_^ *jumps up and down*

Zebra needs a bit of evil. I have no clue what this filter is, though, apart from part of a home made synth.

Vactrol? I found these:

Turn down your headphone/speakers...OUCH!

Seems that some "know how" and knob twiddling on zebra could produce this.
