I just off the Mackie site and decided to install from there, and guess what?
it loaded perfectly and the audio isn't crackling at all.
So I'm going to load Albino in and see if I can get my M-Audio Oxygene 61 to work with it.
Thanks again. :)

ok..the Oxygene 61 is showing up in the list. When I click on the box and make it the controller I am getting the green bar peaking but no audio from Albino. The audio for Albino works when I push the audition button. e to e is enabled.
Did you click the little 'R' record-enable button on the input device icon? For a visual reference, look at page 19 of the Quick Start Guide, figure 7-3.

"When an input is unarmed, it will receive input, but will block it from passing on."

That sounds a lot like your situation.

I eventually figured that out by accident.
Thanks for all your help.

yes, it crashes a lot for some people. works for others. Curious...

Just tried to load some soundfonts in sfz. Poof. Tried again. Poof. Tried again. Poof.

I still use it ocassionally and I honestly believe that when the American economy and investor confidence picks up then we will see a V4.

Mackie are still bundling new gear with T3 so at least there is some support but no bug fixes or else they would of canned it like the recent emu/ creative announcement on X3.

They are hanging onto the software side for a reincarnation. A phoenix rise from the ashes.

Cheers

I belive there are TWO versions of sfz. Maybe is for that reason that works for some and not for others.

Been having fun with the latest Reason 6..."Whoohoo! Cables! Wacky devices!"

Then I get back into Tracktion for a bit and it's, "Whoohoo! NO CABLES!* Lots of elegant, Colorforms-like 'filters'!"

Hey, they is what they is!

Tracktion's workflow is just such sweetness and light to me. The love refuses to fade. I don't care if Mackie never updates it again. I'm sending them and Jules a box of chocolates anyways.

Yup.
See the sticky at the top of the samples etc forum on this site.
Multithread-safe version is required for a multi-core capable audio host like t3

GAAAAAHHHH!!

I'm starting to understand rack filters.

Reverb/effect 'sends' - no problem
Sidechain compression - no problem
MDA vocoder experiment - so so results, but getting there

Sorry, just had to share.

False alarm. Still confused!

Wait, forgot I need a dedicated 'return' track when using racks as sends. May get this yet.

Sorry for off-topic noise.

to quickly weigh in, I use versions 2 and 3 almost daily; I'll post more after I've read the first five pages, heh.

BTW - released an album for free last night, made entirely in tracktion minus 2 songs - the thread's here if anybody wants it:

It's an electronica compilation of the better stuff I've done over the past 11 years.
