Jens
it is featured in other sequencers
just, as Mully said, it decreases the gain on center setting iso increasing it on hardpanning.
in Cubase/Nuendo it is called panning law
and you can sellect if you want the drop of gain to be 0/3/6 dB.

valley couldn't you convince Jules to give you part of the SDK so that you could code filters that have the GUI on the filtersymbol....
so you could create a new volume pan filter... and Jules could keep coding T2

I can't test this right now. What is the panning law in Tracktion then, i.e. the db adjustment. This REALLY should be configurable.

No. I tried once before and he wasn't having any of it.multree wrote:valley couldn't you convince Jules to give you part of the SDK so that you could code filters that have the GUI on the filtersymbol....
I don't think there is any interface system for Tracktion native plugs, they are fully internal. I suspect Jules doesn't want to be messing around supporting another sdk, even his own.
With access to the filter icon interface though, one could do some pretty neat stuff.

Or, dragging in the middle moves both L and R, ctrl dragging center moves both in ratio, and shift clicking aligns L with R.

thanks Valleyvalley wrote:Surely the whole point behind tracktion is that you can build your own world.
Just use some other vol/pan plug instead of teh Tracktion one. Problem solved.
Hell, if you can't find one, pm me and I'll knock one together in ten minutes flat...

I'm guessing the thanks meant you wished me to write this plug? If so I did, and you can get it here:

real basic 'cos I'm sure Jules will address this issue pretty soon...
