no patch uses more then 2/3 cpu
2/3 cpu? 66%? Is it really low CPU?

hey loki, ive got an old quad and in reaper, morphox uses no more then 1-2 cpu points. i honestly cant even get the cpu to 3. what kind of pc do you have? morphox definately does not use 66 percent on my quad. i realize cpu varies among diffrent computers but there has to be a median. people with i7s or later need not care that much about cpu. and people with pentium4s have to expect that most synth will be quite cpu intensive.

I see, you've meant 2-3% CPU :) That's OK. I didn't measure exact MorphoX CPU hit on my PC, but it's quite lightweight, I agree.

Another low CPU synth:
Fabfilter One

Are there demos for Korg legacy edition plugs? I can't seem to find any on the Korg site. Would like to try them out.

I'm gonna buy one at the end of the month and if I like it I will get the rest in the coming weeks. Can you recommend which I should try first?

but you cant try it. no demo :( if you know a buddy that has a copy, i would try them all out to see which ones you like best. they do sound a bit dated nowadays as does all the korg synth plugins. tbh, ive never owned any korg plugins.

gotcha, i think wavestation is the most unique. theres nothing like it. that said, its a programing nightmare. (unless you love spending hours designing one sound)

Thanks, I'll get that one first then. Are they 64 bit?

There ARE demos for the Korg Legacy plugins. It's just convoluted to find them.

Go to: www.korguser.net

Register by clicking the upper right corner and filling in the details.
Login, and then click on the Download button in the right-hand column.

The demos will be right there. They're essentially the full versions that if you do not activate them will play in demo mode. Basically, they're fully functional for 30-days.

Thank you but I tried to register and it wouldn't let me do so unless I put a product serial in. :?

You definitely don't have to own any Korg products to register. I don't own any of them, and I've registered and downloaded the demos.

EDIT: If you get past the first registration page, you've registered. Just log-in.

Here's a KVR link describing the process as well: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4321301
