Great news on the x64bit update. Still not convinced with this synth even after the vid's. Wondering if it will ever go OTB similar to Virus/Auturia etc :)

What is the point of buying a great 64 bit computer if you cannot take advantage of everything it offers?

Why do you need a good graphics card for nexus? :o

If you want to go undongled, buy nexus(1) :) Not for sale on their website and no soundbanks are developed for it.. and they don't sell them anymore
So it would have to be a used one :?

aciddose! I hadn't tried your compressor but i did last night.. Crazy pumping madness!!!

When setting a price on a softsynth it might be wise considering the buyers budget for the whole virtual studio.
You need a sequencer, a plugin effects pack, one or two special effects of some sort, a sampler, a drumplugin, 2-3 synths (or 4? :hihi:), an audiointerface, monitors, maybe a microphone and micpreamp. It will vary with genre and the way you work of course.
In total that's a LOT of money and a huge amount of money for a hobby if you're not loaded with cash. On the other hand, if music is your profession, then it's almost nothing and is called an investment where you should expect money back in the end.
Does the developer only want to attract pro's or even hobbyists?

i think in general the developer wants to attract cash. so it doesn't matter who has the product, what matters is just the bottom line.

i'm a bit more interested in sacrificing a bit of cash to get a product more exposure, but there is a line to be drawn. obviously if you need to invest 100% of your time into a product and you can't make a decent living off the income, it isn't going to be worth it.

sometimes it might make sense to charge a lot more for a single product assuming it's filling a niche. there would be less demand, but you're going to need to cover your expenses just the same. so while a product which is common to everyone and sells 100s of thousands of copies can be made extremely cheap, if you're dealing with only hundreds of sales the price will need to be set proportionately higher.

economies of scale.

Plenty of people can afford it and plenty can't. I am a hobbyist and I bought it. I am sure there are many just like me who also find the money to buy it. I am not rich but I can sacrafice other things to get this.

it's available for free, see my sig.

the eq though? that's just rjb biquad from musicdsp (same one used in virtually every plugin or audio software, ever). although i'm not sure which eq you mean, since i wrote a adaptive q ten band that could have ended up in there.

in either case now i doubt you know what you're talking about
I always know what I'm talking about so hush now

That's your compressor? Cool! Congratulations on a good job. Works excellent on synthetic material. No chance of seeing that on OSX right?

cause if you got Sonar X1 it's bitbridge doesn't work to well with Nexus 32 bit.

I think the inspiration that nexus2 offers is well worth the cost of it!

I love making this kind of stuff, and Nexus2 is just screaming with inspiration for me, I composed this tonight while taking my son to the playground on a laptop with a novation launchpad and all nexus2. (the only other instrument was a metrum for the kick drum)

You just can't beat Nexus2! So inspiring...

enjoy :)

Sorry to say, not the same for me.
I really would have bought Nexus recently if not for the dongle.
I'd be happy to purchase if the dongle is dropped though.
