Will there be an introductory special on DIVA? About what will the standard price be? Also, when Zebra 2.6 is released will registered users of 2.5 qualify for a free update or . . . ?

Diva's price will be above 149$ and below 199$ - I still have to sleep over that once we're ready. There'll most likely be the usual introduction offer during the final beta time, maybe 30-40% off.tommyzai wrote:Will there be an introductory special on DIVA? About what will the standard price be? Zebra 2.6 will be a free upgrade from V2.x (as always)

No worries... back home, having a glass of white.
Made a full backup.
The 3D panels are mostly finished (maybe a change of light intensity, maybe have materials matched... all stuff for beta phase). Tomorrow we're adding some more photographic elements (expect a few stylish and retro gimmicks). We have a few surprises up our sleeves.
Sunday dinner with owner of the Minimoog. Good incentive to have it ready by then

(one surprise is, I managed to play 8 voices today... so we're gonna do one more round of oversampling for best quality setting
)

How can we be sure to get in on the first wave with discount? Will it be the first 100 or will it be for the first week or so? I mean for the plugin, not the wine . . . unless of course it's exceptional vino!

Urs, I have a 2009 Macpro 8 x 2.26, any idea what I will be able to do on a machine like this with Diva?
Also you have mentioned multi-core support, would this work inside Logic or would it require some other way of utilizing multiple cpus?

It'll be something like Nov 16 till Dec 31... no chance to miss it, and no excusestommyzai wrote:How can we be sure to get in on the first wave with discount? I'm using a 2007 MacPro. You'll be fine for solo sounds and basses in highest quality and polysounds in middle position.Mogular wrote:Urs, I have a 2009 Macpro 8 x 2.26, any idea what I will be able to do on a machine like this with Diva?

Note that pads and stuff which do not use all that much distortion may be fine in highest position too. The cpu usage varies dramatically with the settings. Low resonance and no fm may play just fine on most systems.
Multicore support is something we have yet to come up with. It would work independently from host settings. The overall cpu usage will be higher, but it might still have advantages.

Ok. Can't hold back anymore. Recorded a short noodle with Eco oscillators run through Transistor Ladder, modulated by digital ADSR envelopes (this is roughly what running MS-20 oscillators through a Minimoog filter with Jupiter-6 envelopes sounds like)

Sorry for the pointless noodle though... no compressor, no eq used, not even a highpass filter. But a little reverb for spatial presence.

Very nice presence there. Question, is the reverb an external plug or will DIVA have one in its FX section?Urs wrote:Ok. Can't hold back anymore. Sounds great to me... but maybe someone more knowledgeable can chime in and tell us if it's "analogue" enough.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Seems beta-ready to me!
