Yes, I love the colour scheme too. And red wine.

It occurred to me as if it was at the same time the modern and vintage style of the original Virus, with some nostalgic reminissences blended in. Or so.

I immediately fell in love with the little mutt - she has hybrid vigor! My beloved Roland sliders adjacent to the Moog knobs send shivers up my spine. The inclusion of sync (I wasn't sure) is icing on the cake. The filter section layout is brilliant. This isn't just another VA. It's every synth afficionado's dream Frankensizer! I like everything about the design.

But don't hold back on the side panels. I'm thinking fabric skins - satin, leopard, leather - sky's the limit! :D

No matter what the GUI looks like it will sell. Urs has build up a strong following and deservedly so; however . . .

Look at all the famous Divas. The only wood you will see is in your lap. Yes, they are like fine wine, but when they perform they shine and sparkle. You can clearly see their sequin knobs. I standby my origin opinion . . . contrast between the background and front characters (knobs, sliders, logo, etc). This lady needs the spotlight . . . bright lights, not a candlelit dinner.

How can we make beautiful music with her if we can't find her buttons to push them? Every good synth has a G-spot. What we do to the G-spot is up to us users and abusers, but we need to see the darn thing, don't we?

In the immortal words of Lt. Col. Frank Slade:

But this shouldn't be Scent of a Diva. Damn it! I wanna see what I'm getting into. Shine the light on this Voluptuous Vixen.

While a few labels are missing and out of place, you can clearly see the structure.

It's a rather big ui, but it will be scalable down to 70% (half the size) and up to 150% (twice the size) in small steps of 10% without loosing its sharpness and readability. At least, that's what we've planned.

Hope you like!

looks awesome.. of course I happen to be traveling and can only hear the first sound thru my imac speakers....

btw is that patch suppose to be funkadelic's knee deep she was totally deep? in the GUI. apart from being one of my all time fav songs the bassline by Bernie Worrell is frigging wicked.

Liking the gui. I'm not a modular guy, so i don't really like zebra when i demoed it. But this one? Zebra preset amazed me with its sound quality and now u-he releasing a less complex synth? It's a must buy for me. Any release day target yet?

The most beautiful and modern GUI I had ever seen from a U-he product...

What synthesis method does this plugin use? Additive, subtractive, FM, granular, wavetable, scanned, linear arithmetic, HCM, vector, phase distortion, ring modulation, pulsar train, modular, etc.? Or something entirely new? :hyper:

What does this plugin is supposed to do, anyway? Make the perfect bass (my guess from the picture)?

-You use your ears, not your eyes to listen.
-If everyone is doing it, it must be stupid.

Subtractive - it's a semi-modular virtual vintage analog synth (for details read the rest of the thread ;) ).

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Yep! That's really nice :)
What is going on with the detune knob by the way? The labels seem confusing "7,9,-1,0,1,3,5"?
I guess the red markers indicate that the range goes beyond the original hardware?

Cheers
