(still internally called resonance though)

Yep, it looks fine... let's have it! ;)

(Slight niggle: you might want to make the line separating the filter from env1 thicker, or darker, or something. They kind of look like a single unit.)

Re niggle... I've started to move everything half a pixel to the left... but not my slices yet... arrrgh. Is fine for beta testing though, will be improved for final release...

(still not sure about the white lines on the sliders... they seem a bit too bold... might move them half a pixel up)

It won't sound like a MS-20 than :hihi:

At least you made sure there are 11 of them. That seems proper for Diva. ;)

Yeah, I think you're right, they do stand out a little.

I guess it's better, looks more alive... like someone turned the lights on! :D
...the filter knobs in that style look a bit...odd though?! :?

Diva is a much different visual design than ACE or any of the other U-he synths. ACE is the most inviting I think . . . maybe because of the location of things and contrast between background and plugs and cables. I respect the creative process and Urs' vision for his new baby . . . Diva, but it's going to be compared to the other designs that U-he users have come to love. I would stick with what worked and just tweak the visuals to suit the new controls, but it's not my baby. At best I can scrape up the dough to user her. LOL

yes, that new DIVA skin with more contrast is better than the first one, that's for sure.

I absolutely love the classic look of this synth, cannot wait to actually try it. gonna purchase it the day it comes out (would do before even try it). Urs just never dissapoint me with my purchases !

I don't disagree that the marriage might be very nice, just that the attraction for me with Diva is the simplicity of doing one thing (analog modeling) *really well*... in a plug-in world where 'everything has to do everything' it's refreshing to me... limitations that help one actually quickly program a great sound rather than getting caught up in the endless modulation options and sonic possibilities that a plug-in might have.
Why would the possibility to choose an analog moddeled oscillator run through a digital modelled filter or vice versa make it more complex? As I understand it this would be just some non-analog-moddeled modules in the list to choose from. We're not talking about deep modulation routings or matrixes :)
It wouldn't necessarily make it more complex to learn, I guess what I'm getting at is that it would be more productive for me if there were some limitations in terms of scope and options. Might seem weird but I like the idea of only being able to choose between five filters as opposed to ten or twenty.

Am digging the way the interface is evolving design-wise! :)

Let me try to answer that for you.
So, IMO, yes... all u-he synths are mainly good for everything ...but an interesting question would be what "type" of bass, lead, pads, etc are the strong point of each..
As I played around and listened to some demos:
analog bass/leads: ACE, DIVA
Digital, hybrid, modern, physical modelling: Zebra, maybe Bazille?

analog pads: DIVA, ACE
spectral rich pads: Zebra ... Bazille?

something like that for the rest of categories.

It's not like you can't get analog sounding tones out of Zebra (you can teach her some cool tricks too :D)

In other words, I guess you can group them as: Zebra-Bazille, ACE-DIVA as far as I can tell.

What is more different is the workflow for each.

OK everybody... back to the topic! DIVAAA

Me - I wouldn't want to do that! What's my prize? ;)

It's showing up much better on the laptop screen, my eyes aren't freaking out on it from a bad viewing angle either.

Since there's some nit-picking :hihi: Just a passing thought - I imagine the 'sound' of the different background textures will sink in, but at first glance it looks a little strange, like it should have screws or borders or something. Also the selection menu texts ("Triple Oscillator V" or "ENV2 (MOD): ADS") on these panels seems like it's kind of floating against the visual metaphor. Two things in one, could put those on something like a bracket that holds the modules in place?
