Unfortunately I'm working my mud flaps off, but we haven't even got our nightly build. Thus tomorrow we'll have a beta that is set to be sonically complete (all levels adjusted), and then we can do stuff :)

(which won't be much of a big deal because we'll go public beta only a day later anyway)
Woo!

Okay... first Diva sound from me (testers have permission to post sounds now). Please keep in mind that this is an early beta and the sound/features may change (or not, I don't know). Also keep in mind that I am not an analog aficionado nor I am trying to emulate any sort of analog sounds. From my not very expert point of view regarding analog, softsynths tend to lose coherency on the low end in comparison (I had an OB-Xa years back but it is so long ago I really don't remember). So, for my first experiment I focused on the low end. This has filter FM and I am still pleased with the coherency of the sound.

Note that each section has different backgrounds... related to their models...

Will post more screenshots...
Urs, I mean this . . . the background is darker on one side and lighter on the other side. Consider reversing the shading of the background panels by putting the lighter background on the right and the darker on the left. The low pass filter knobs and stuff would pop out with lighter background and the triple o/c knobs and stuff would pop out with a darker background. Or . . . just adjust the brightness/silverness of the controls and leave as is. These are small things, but all the small things add up.

Regardless . . . very exciting! Best of luck with the upcoming release!

Some more Diva to the pre-party:

Nothing but the girl. No makeup or additional toys. A little automation as I like to play with her nipples.

HOLY CRAP THIS SOUNDS AMAZING O_O

I have a feeling that the CPU on this will be way high though; that sound quality can't be cheap.

That's what's been already said, nineofkings. ;)

Diva is sounding awesome and so far finally I can agree that a u-he synth sounds analog. Really looking forward to using it with the forthcoming public beta!

Justin, Thank you for your response. I do NOT find instruments with flexibility frustrating. What I find frustrating is my ability to communicate a simple question on this thread. I edited out the rest of this. I give up. I hear you . . . There's no right or wrong; There's no best; Everyone has different taste; To each his own and so on. Ahhhrr. Basically, we are back to "try the demo and decide for yourself." Imagine if you were buying a car and asked the salesman questions and he gave you these answers. Back to Diva we go!
What you're experiencing is the frustration that Socrates' pupils felt when he forced them to examine their own questions more deeply, and thus actually finding the answers they were looking for. The only way truly to answer your questions, which are valid questions, is to answer them yourself, for they are too broad and general, and Urs' synths are too broad and general, for any real "rules" to apply to each and every player's choices. I'm sorry if this sounds condescending, it isn't meant to be. I am a teacher and I happen to use the Socratic method. The most enlightening teachers help us better understand the nature of our own questions so that we can find true individual understanding on deeper levels.

I think it's a lot better Urs. Before the one thing I had trouble seeing was the red lettering against the black. Now I can see it very well.
