Cool. Relaxing to hear other people than me sitting there and delighting in tweaking those knobs for hours. And yes, that's my kinda pad!justin3am wrote:Here are two sounds I particularly like...

I would say as much as you could play Sultans Of Swing with an Telecaster and make it sound authentic. But I don't wanna go into details too much as I guess this is something the uhe marketing department will do.Kalee wrote:Will it jump

Holy f**k. Not a single VA I know can do stuff like this with so much precision. Perhaps Waldorf's stuff, I heard similar sick stuff coming out from those thingies. And Q+ has analog filters, too.justin3am wrote: http://www.3amnoise.net/diva_demo_02.wav weird filter modulations (watch your ears!)
But holy f**k. I need a new PC.

I'll just say that Jump was played on an OB-Xa, and we haven't had one for reference. The Obie has both an OTA ladder filter and an OTA state variable. While Diva technically offers these filter types, I have no idea how e.g. the ratios of input distortion, resonance distortion, dc offsets and output distortion match those of the Obie. All I can say is, we matched them with the synths we have around. If any of those can play Jump, then yes, Diva probably can. If not, then, well, we have to wait until that Obie of my friend arrives, should the guy who borrowed it from her ever give it back (or maybe I have to start looking elsewhere)

The teasing is getting too much with all these sounds examples, I just can't wait to get my hands on the beta !
I think I'm going to be refreshing this page every hour until it's released

Make that 24 hours. We're determined to go public beta some time tomorrow.FastTriggerFish wrote:The teasing is getting too much with all these sounds examples, I just can't wait to get my hands on the beta !

We havn't had many serious crashes, just audio dropouts, so I guess it's safe to let her out into the wild. I just need to finish some stuff in the user interface.
Soundwise we have some little requests, e.g. more consistent Minimoog-style clicks, which we're happy to deliver later on in the testing phase.
