are we nearly there yet?

Hehe, I don't want to release anything prematurely. Thank goodness I don't recall an crashes, but Diva sure has some bad temper at times, and she may cut all audio off your DAW.

The latest results are promising, even though we have a growing todo list.

We have to re-evaluate LFO rates and modulation. We have to somehow fake freerunning voices or else we can't do proper Minimoog sustained attacks (some clicks are *stronger* in Diva, others are like the real deal - it needs to be homogenic). We also have to fix duophonic mode, note hangers and add unison modes. The patch field has to be cleaned up big time. Some oscillators still alias for unknown reasons. The Sallen Key highpass filter is still way off from the original. We must have missed a connection or something.

So there's a lot to do. By getting her out in the wild we hope to get enough feedback to bring her to perfection.

Will post download links after a good night of sleep, and if nothing all too serious happens.

No worries, take your time... ;)

These demos just sound .. fantastic!!!

Do you mix osc/filters or do you use the same parts? (generally speaking)

I just used "Juno" parts in my example :)
I'll post an example where I mixed different modules in a minute :)

Bronto Scorpio, man, dude, this is awesome!

Urs, how would an i5 M480 CPU cope with Diva? I have it in my laptop... Along with 8 GB of DDR3, but I suppose RAM is of less concern!

Diva is heavier on the cpu than ACE...

Of course it is, captain Obvious :)

Just want to know how many voices of polyphony can I approximately expect. Well, I guess I'll take the public beta for a ride when it's out! :D

Howie is happy with his i7, so I guess any i5 will be fine.

One thing to keep in mind is that most sounds will perform pretty well. It's merely sounds with high resonance, a lot of distortion and a lot of noise that confuse the prediction algorithm. (The technology is based on predicting what the output of he filter will be, before calculating it - high resonance and noises make this dificult)
