WOW. Thanks to all at U-He for all your hard work - it is definitely, totally appreciated!

My daughter's computer crashed so I've had to deal with that (and prolly tomorrow too). I've hardly have had a chance to try Diva until just now. I spent an hour with her and I feel like I just stepped out of a time machine from '78, except it's more like a dream because somebody took a bunch of my favorite synths and combined them into one! :wheee:

*so excited he's speechless* (he's NEVER speechless)

Best sounding synth I've ever laid ears on, and it's the 1st beta! :-o

If I had time, I'd put together a tune... hmmm...

On my 3.6 GHz i7 I haven't noticed any sort of limitation yet even at Divine settings, but I haven't really pushed the polyphony to any extremes...I'll report more later.

It would be nice if somehow you could control both OSC frequency knobs with one midi learn assign, so when you sweep the freq. both are swept together. It's not a bug per se, more like a feature request, and I would imagine it would require a different midi learn algorhithm. Does anybody know of a workaround for that? :?

Doc - If you put the folder included with the .dll file into your vst folder, the presets should be in there, so just copy the new ones into that folder...I think! :)

Only had a brief play with DIVA this afternoon (before I had to take off for a while), but it was sure sounding nice to me. It really does put me in mind of analog synths I've owned like the Moog Phatty and Juno 60.

Regarding the Phatty, I noticed in the past that I got closer to trying to emulate Phatty sounds with other synths when I followed them with a Uhbik Q with the high-cut filter set at 10K to simulate the Phatty's rather rolled-off-sounding top end. I know many will disagree, but I didn't much like the sound of the Phatty's overdrive when I had one - seemed like it went from doing nothing to a rather obnoxious buzz saw distortion very early in the knob's travel without having a very wide range of pleasing, thickening saturation prior to outright distortion.

The beta doesn't come with any presets but some people (myself included) have uploaded some...

from bronto scorpio http://www.bronto-scorpio-music.com/Dow ... resets.zip
thanks for these.

Does anyone else get no sound when loading different presets? It doesn't seem to matter which ones. It happens randomly. Same thing was happening to me as I was creating my own presets.

I've just had the 'no-sound' presets thing on OSX in Kore 2... seeing if I can repeat it in Live.

You could probably MIDI map the transpose / fine tune parameters (or do you mean something else)?

for me it is happening in LIve Mac OSx 10.6

I cant' figure out why it stops making sound, but if I delete Diva than reload ...Live quits on me.

Thanks, wow, I hadn't even looked at the tabs yet  It looks like the Tune 1 and Tune 2 ports are inactive yet.

Thanks xh3rv!

The tune inputs on the Modification page are working for me. You have to make sure that the corresponding depth control (in the oscillator section) is turned up. Also keep in mind that the Triple Osc doesn't respond to Tune 2.

I've had a Dave Smith Evolver desktop for four years now, just so I could have some real analog when I wanted. Not that DIVA is an exact replacement for it, but as of today I don't feel the need to keep it around anymore, and it's on Ebay to fund DIVA, plus start a fund for a new computer :-)

Thanks Justin. Yeah, I'm looking for a way to sweep 2 and 3...

It also helps to know that the pull down menus for the modulation depth controls reflect the connections made in the Modification page.

So if you make a selection via the pull-down menu, patch on the modification page will change to reflect that.
