Well, with the triple oscillator, any modulation source that is routed to Tune 1 can control all three oscillators by activating all the switches next to the Tune Mod knob.

Post

Can anyone suggest a way to get pulse width modulation happening on MS20 oscillator 1?

you can hook it up in the Modifications tab, but there is no way of activating it that I can see

also what synth does the OTA Ladder filter come from?

edit - it works! (had to turn off osc 1 of course)

I don't think you can modulate PW with the ocsillators in Eco mode. The OTA Ladder in Rough mode is based on the Juno 60 and in Clean mode it's based on the Jupiter 8, I think.

Really loving the sound so far- I'm creating some severe warmth in the way I have never managed with a vst before. Is the idea that over time your just going keep on adding new filter and oscillator emulations so can be an OB, MS20, Jupiter, Moog etc all with mix and match possibilites?

I know it doesn't really matter but out of interest what are the emulations other than the minimoog included so far?

OTA Ladder?
OTA SVF ?
Sallen Key filters?

Judging by the graphics of the osc is the:

ECO - Polivoks?
DCO - Juno?
Dual VCO - Jupiter 6 or 8?

BTW LED Colour Change is awesome novelty feature :)

Well. I love this thing, I'll be buying it. I should really know by now not to try out U-he products if I don't intend to buy them. This will mark the 5th U-he product for me. I have a little phatty sitting next to me, and DIVA just blows it away head to head. I guess I can at least use the phatty as a filter for guitars.

What I'm really looking forward to now is the preset banks people come up with! I have Bronto's and as always, it sounds amazing. I'm really looking forward to seeing some of Howard's presets as well.

I would also like to say that the GUI is awesome on this. It seems really intuitive and easy to understand for me. (and I'm not the swiftest boat on the ocean! bazille was a bit too much for me.)

Anyway, main thing is, awesome job Urs and company! You've made yet another sale with me! I'll be sure to post my efforts on the U-he soundcloud group shortly.

The Sallen Key filters and the Eco Oscs are based on the MS-20
The OTA Ladder is based on the Juno-60 and Jupiter 8
The OTA SVF is based on the Jupiter-6 and Alpha Juno
The Dual VCO is based on the Jupiter 6 and Jupiter 8
The DCO is based on the Juno-60 and Alpha Juno
The Analog ADSR is based on the Jupiter 8 and Juno 60
The Digital ADSR is based on the Jupiter 6 and Alpha Juno

Thanks for the reply - very informative. Very interesting synth indeed! I'll have a listen to your patches when I wake :)

yep, it's just like the actual MS20 in that regard. I get so used to PWM being available its the first thing I went for on the MS20 oscillators.

Nice! Sounds great! Easy to program. The gui, looks great but, you got a little happy with the size? :hihi: I did read the part about the re size option, :tu:

The CPU? OUch!... if one is not careful. I got it to eat about 60% of my quad core i7! I'm saving now, for the $1000 Core i7 version!

Got up to 60% on my 2008 Macbook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.8Ghz (4GB Ram) - Mostly around 40% (Ableton Live CPU meters). Yeah is CPU heavy but I'm not arsed. I like what URS is doing - pushing the boundaries. There's no reason I can't live with one instance or two and either freeze or record if It get me the sound I want at a sweet price. I think Urs is going to be causing a worldwide spike in 4 & 8 cores sales with this baby ;) Love the interface too - very simple and nice to use yet so flexible. Nice and big too

Urs and co. more then make up for the cost of CPU on sound quality and options and ease of use. So, yeah, I'll deal with recording it,if need be, as well.
