I just found a failure in my demos from yesterday (Slim Phatty 1:1 comparison). I had used the 2 VCO module but of course i have to use the Minimoog oscillators which sound different. I'll post another demo maybe. I am working on a few jupiter sounds too so maybe i'll post a demo of those too.

Some ranges/laws might change a bit before the "final" release version - but that shouldn't prevent you from experimenting already. I reckon that most patches made with this initial beta will sound at least very similar in the release version.DrGonzo wrote:If I would start making my own sounds for it - can I do this without fearing the format of presets might be broken in the fortcoming updates?

Or go proper old skool: keep patch charts.Howard wrote:Some ranges/laws might change a bit before the "final" release version - but that shouldn't prevent you from experimenting already. True, we shall write simulator then - which is actually what we do.Gamma-UT wrote:<nitpick>PSpice isn't an emulator, it's a simulator</nitpick> (And it celebrated its 40th birthday earlier this year)

Let's put it that way: Both Jupiter 6 and 8 have their adjustable highpass filter between oscillator mixer and lowpass filter. If you want to make Diva sounmd similar then you'll have to use the pre-vcf highpass filterIngonator wrote:Are those additional HPFs based on a Jupiter? At least the "Pre Lowpass" mode looks like it as it uses the same type of sliders as the other Jupiter modules.

The idea is to use the 8 knobs below the oscillator tunings for pan modulation. There you go!jumper24 wrote:It would be cool, if possible, to also have a pan option in the "trimmers" tab in the same way as you can detune each voice...

If you absolutely want your patches to sound the same then maybe wait. It is a beta of a completely new synth and some bug or whatever could show up and force some change. Also, I think some adjustments are still going on so presets are likely to be a bit different.DrGonzo wrote:Wonderful! Wonderful!

That's much better! And I agree that the use of 'demonstrates' is correct in that context (my argument for losing the 's' was dependant upon the addition of 'which' to the original sentence).Howard wrote:I removed "especially", then streamlined the rest of the sentence a bit.

Ooh goody! Another u-he synth
One thing though - I'm not seeing any microtuning support this time...hm?
Is Diva going to support alternate tunings?
Cheers

My little testing noizz.

Just on headphones, so mix will have issues. But all sounds Diva. (+ EQ and some compressing)
Btw that CPU usage is a bit problematic.

Man, this is absolutely crazy!!
U-HE makes it again... this one is absolutely on top, just like zebra²! You guys are really the kings... I've never listened to synths that thick! Nothing's missing there... of course it is because of that wonderful analog sound! Really great job!
I feel like, I want to do a patch-library for this one!
