The long DIVA thread

A couple of questions, comments for Urs or those who might know these answers:

- A few have asked, but not sure if it's been answered, will there be a 64-bit version?
- How/where do we report bugs? (Here's one I noticed last night: second knob from right on the bottom row of knobs in Dual VCO, the pull-down doesn't work)
- Diva is pretty CPU intensive, even with my year old i7 machine, so wondering what can be taken out if anything. The first that comes to mind is the modifications view. This is cool, but if it's a duplication of the selections already made above, couldn't it be eliminated and save on some CPU time?
- I will admit that I haven't yet bought a u-he product, but have been strongly considering Zebra, until now... I like the sonic quality of Diva a little better than Zebra, from my minimal experience with the Zebra demo. u-he experts: if you had to make a choice between one or the other, would you choose Diva?
- Lastly, what is u-he policy on updates/upgrades? In other words, are updates generally free for any 1.x version, and then discounts for existing customers upgrading to a 2.x version>

If I only could pick one I would choose Zebra for sure. Zebra is so much more sonically diverse. But of course I do not have to choose just one and can have both!! (plus Bazille and ACE)

Diva is just a huge cpu hit... render is your friend!

The choruses are terrific. Really hugifying.

Will there be an Under / Redo function added? That is one of my favorite features of Zebra, as simple as it is. Maybe it could be embedded in the patch browse buttons by added a selector between patch switching and undo / redo functions.

Seems rather likely that the undo/redo code will end up in there. It is an early beta

That didn't really answer my question. I could be wrong, but I remember seeing in previous screen shots that there was a stereo knob similar to the button on PolyKB.

Not really, you just said that it sounded better than phatty but only based on sound examples. So now that you've had some hands on time with the beast what do you reckon?

There are Stereo parameters on the Phaser and Rotary Speaker effects but not on the synth section. I believe Urs has hinted at per voice panning controls on the trimmer section. I don't suppose that is what you are looking for though.

I did answer your question (I think) There would not be a stereo knob on a mono synth.

I'm surprised even about LFO's. I'd expct some unstability or something in beta version, but these are rock solid... Even Sylenth is more naughty in this way somehow... Coool.

Still can't believe how analog it is. Few days ago Analog = Arturia. Now analog = Diva with no doubt...

Btw that chorus unit is yummy. Can I have it in Zebra please?

I think djanthonyw is looking for something like a stereo spread knob, which Diva doesn't currently have (unless you count the effects). I do believe that once the voice stacking has been implemented, with the per voice panners, we'll be able to achieve something similar.

Diva is sounding awesome and so far finally I can agree that a u-he synth sounds analog.
