I've re-saved all my patches with build 338, balanced the volume of most them and added a few patches (bringing the total to 41).

Awesome. It's basically perfect. Feedback and the modifications. 
Definitely feels like an instrument to me. CPU usage is the only thing giving me second thoughts.
The only "complaint" I have is that I wish the switch module triangles were in a standardized location in each module. I know I can click on the module name, but it doesn't feel "right".

I just though of something. If I load up all the MS-20 parts, I could map it out pretty well to the Korg MS-20 controller. I wonder if the patch cables could control the mod routing...

Here is a copy of a song I'm working, totally inspired by Diva.
It is using 6 Diva's, and one ACE
some automation, and some drums... Glue on the master track, that's it. I kept it as an AIFF to preserve the analog sound:)
I also had all 6 Diva's on Devine quality. I do have a new MBP, but this wasn't really pegging my CPU much.

Can someone explain to me why on each consecutive note you get a random amount of perfectly fixed detune? I don't know what analog oscillator this is trying to emulate.
The filters sound great, it seems a lot of thought went into emulating the sound of analog. I noticed a lot of little quirks that were programmed into the synth that took me by surprise, so that's cool. It's not easy to simulate analog circuits, but things like filter cutoff could also use a touch of randomness.
U-he has come along way to bring us DIVA, I feel like DIVA is at the forefront of analog emulation and there are many years ahead of us and we will see better and better emulations. However, I feel like U-he, as well as many of us, have not used certain analog gems that truly reveal the spirit of why analog is so desirable. No, you won't experience this by picking up a moog and playing with the filter. You need to look at more expirimental stuff to really feel the chaos and unpredictability of what makes analog so desirable.
For one thing, even the order of notes that you play on an analog synth can cause shifts in the synth's behavior in beautiful and sonically-pleasing ways that add a factor of "I'm not totally in control of the synth, it has its own voice."
The reason, for me, why analog sounds so great is that it's difficult to program / patch a bad sound. There's too much musical instability (with the right analog circuits), too much chaos, too much drift to create a motionless and stale sound.
Ultimately what I just said is that DIVA is still giving too much control to the user. It will not be a technological breakthrough that makes a better analog emulation, it will be the right programmer with the right ear and the right experience with analog synths and I believe that is a rare thing.

Diva is AMAZING. the sound is simply spectacular and it's also quite easy to use (this kind of graphical interface works much better for me than some previous u-he GUIs).
just to check - if i record some sounds with this beta version before December 31st, will it be legal to use them in my tunes later on, even if i don't purchase Diva (at least not right away)?
