It's on the bug/known issues list... somewhere...

 you're right - wasn't thinking of it as a bug.

:help:
Oh, sorry... yes, no problem.

I would not recommend using a beta for production though. As in: Any glitches are not our fault ;)
of course! but i've come up with some great sounds while playing with it yesterday, so it's great to know i can sample some synth stabs for future use. thanks!

This one goes to my "must buy" list

this will be my christmas present ,love it.. hard to come back to my usual softsynths after using this one :D

a retriger for the oscillators phase would be a nice addition for percussive/drums sounds

You have no idea what you're talking about and I say that in the nicest way possible. :) In the beginning of digital synthesis people waited days, weeks, and month(s?) to get a result. When this stuff is brought to the common user, such as yourself, it means that the technology is FINALLY getting within the common computer's reach.

As computers get more powerful, so does the software become more CPU-hungry in an ever-evolving effort for improvement. Lack of CPU power is still very much a problem in this modern day.

interesting synth. gonna go grab the demo.

just thinking out loud.. i think it'd be great if Urs made a fully fledged modular in the vein of the nord modular editor. he's so close already with ACE though it's a fixed set of modules obviously.

there really is no app/plug in out there that is fully modular and has a drag and drop interface that allows patching/repatching of modules like the nord modular. there are the various things like reaktor/tassman/vaz/sonic-core but they don't really allow a fast work flow of patching like on an actual modular or require DSP cards etc. and then you might as well just get the G2

with all the 'modules' u-he is making for various bits of synths it'd be great to see them all as part of a system... unteathered with a bunch of additional modules... sequencers, swithces etc..

anyway - ramble ramble.. DIVA downloading now.

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY! :-o I like KarmaFX Modular but it lacks a lot of things that an analog modular, or even Nord Modular has.

This sounds 'kin fantastic. I will definitely be buying this. After spending ages learning Zebra 2, it feels pretty weird playing with a synth that is so simple.
Apart from playing on a demo of a Slim Phatty and a Nord Lead in a music shop, I am pretty green with hard synths.

already there look for bazile !

Have been testing it for some time today, and I can say, I will get it for christmas, for myself :D

In particular 'A Simple Beauty' is pure Vangelis and really reminds me of the powerful solo sound from the intro of Bladerunner. Make sure to tweak the mod wheel whilst playing to open up the real expressive potential of this particular beauty!

Thanks
The patch is indeed inspired by the Bladerunner theme (The patch was called "Infamous movie theme" first :hihi:). It's really no recreation though. But it get's the vibe :)

Cheers

Bazille is great but not quite the same as a drag and drop from a list of modules/create your own system for specific needs. would also be nice to use stand-alone for creating self running patches etc.

i basically just want the nord modular as a stand alone app/plug in. the modules and the interface.

but back to DIVA.. lot's to explore there.

From what Urs has said in the past the fixed module format of ACE and Bazille is the only way of keeping CPU levels within reasonable limits for the flexibility and audio quality they deliver (all that audio rate FM going on!).

But thinking aloud, at some point a flexible, fully modular synth with DIVA-like levels of audio quality might be feasible. How about if someone were to specify a standard platform for virtual synth modules? Software companies could develop and sell modules to that standard, virtual VCO's, VCF's, VCA's, Envelope Generators, Lag Generators etc, that users could buy and assemble into their own bespoke virtual modular synth.
