This may be an absolutely stupid question but please pardon me if it has already been asked or addressed in the 80 pages. (I read to page 20 and didn't see it.)

Are there supposed to be presets when I open up Diva?
EDIT: Nevermind, I just saw the other thread.

I am very interested in this synth. I used to have a Roland Jupiter-6 but sold it back in the 90s and would LOVE to have that sound back again!

I love u-He's other stuff ie: Tyrell.

Bazille is great but not quite the same as a drag and drop from a list of modules/create your own system for specific needs. would also be nice to use stand-alone for creating self running patches etc.

i basically just want the nord modular as a stand alone app/plug in. the modules and the interface.

but back to DIVA.. lot's to explore there.
If I remember rightly, Urs said it would be impossible with todays cpu's to do a fully modular with the sound quality of ACE or Bazille... so we get semi modular ;)

No. Check this thread, though.

A quick question.

As someone who lacks knowledge of classic synths, what synths are each of the oscillators and filters modelled from?

There is a list a few pages back... and maybe Urs can add that to page 1 so it is easy to find since people keep asking it

Yeah, that would be handy. Either that or a Diva FAQ thread.

Just throwing this out there - I would be willing to pay for updates that add new modules/synths to Diva. Depending on the price and my intest in a particular synth, of course, but in general that is true.

I'm hoping the u-he focus stays on Diva for a while.

the only thing i don't like much so far is the "3 ocillator" module ,the sound of it.
i know it sounds crazy but i'd really wish there was a standard softsynth 3 oscillator module in there too in alternative to that one.

for 10 years i've been complaining about how better the filter/envelope action was in analogues (and there was technical reason for that, and this is finally addressed in Diva) but in regards to oscillators softsynths have been delivering great results since years(for example i peronally love the oscillators in tal elektro)

what i'm saying is....i'm sure the current 3 oscillator module is modelled accurately on a minimoog model D or what else....but i would like as alternative also something with less "charachter" ( no non linearirities, no oscillator drift, none of that nonsense).....more mathematically precise...and with all the advantages software allows (oscillator reset etc)
maybe a zebra/zebralette 3 oscillator module in there? just an idea (although i need to check again how those sounded)

Urs has mentioned there will be Updates to Zebra with what he's learned from coding Diva. If that means new/updated filter algs and/or env algs we shall see...

There is, you can choose between different ones. Have you noticed that you can change it by pressing the arrow and name under the osc section?
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

ofc i noticed
and no there is not another 3 vco..and defenetly not one with the attributes i specified in my post.

Oh yeah, 3vco .. That's true, sorry I read it wrong

I can't speak for Urs but I don't think that's withing the scope of Diva. I think that's what Zebra is for. As bmrzycki mentioned Zebra may inherit modules from Diva but I can't see Diva inheriting modules from Zebra.

I seem to remember Urs mentioning that Diva will be expanded at some point but I suspect that the focus will be on filters, oscillators, etc. with a lot of character.
