Nice! Yup, I need to spend much more time learning programming.
Thanks, that song is 6 Diva's at Divine quality. I actually had to tame the 'brassy' sound, because the highs were getting to be too much.

presets by Bronto, Justin3AM and myself.

I liked your tune too, it sounded like you had a piano in there.

I wonder if Diva is going to make some software users More interested in hardware analog rather than the other way around?

Post

I don't know about that but Diva has mad me want to get my SH-2 tuned up. I had intended on posting some comparisons between the two (Diva's Dual VCO and OTA ladder SVF sound pretty similar) but my poor SH-2 sounded pretty sad compared to Diva.

ACE and Bazille already did that for me. I'll be picking up Diva but it has no effect positive or negative on my hardware lust at the moment. It's all just different means of achieving what I want.

I'm torn.

Now I'ld like a phatty, as well as a Future Retro XS

Not here, I hate the workflow with hardware. Been there, done that, so cumbersome.

Thanks, yeah, I suppose, if a read more I could get that piano intentionally :hihi:

You guys are among, the best synth programers on kvr I believe. :tu:

Good point! I've been reading about build instrument and circuit bending. I've the idea of working in hardware. I've never owned much more then a Casio keyboards and the Moog made for radio shack, MG-1, I believe it was?

Yeah I was already on a x0xb0x quest, but I was looking at that as a fun side note of an instrument. After spending a lot of time with Diva in the past couple days, I found myself bidding on a Prophet-600 on ebay! It was a weak bid and I've already been overtaken, but still.

Is the plate reverb a new algorithm or is it taken from a current U-he product? It sounds fantastic... :) Im looking at valhalla as i don't have a reverb im fully happy with yet but if this is available as a separate plugin i might look at it instead.

I've been trying to stop myself from saying this but i must .. Another cpu heavy synth couples this synth so very well
I started this song with only instances of this other synth starting with a D, then added a diva bassline http://soundcloud.com/bj-rnlundberg/terrastator-demo1
They fill the spectrum quite well, eh? :)

It's the first time in the softsynth world i have been able to have a melodic bassline that sounds full across all notes it's playing. Not sure it's making any sense but that's the best way i can describe it.

Oh, im so happy with these synths! Thank's Urs and friends :D

this synth sounds absolutely amazing. I am very close to purchasing this tmrw. My only concern is presets. I love presets and want many of them for Diva. Urs or Howard could we get a good rough estimate of what we will be looking like in the preset department over the next few weeks and also the next few months? Thanks so much and congratulations on maybe the best sofy synth I've ever heard.

Any special kind of sounds you're looking for? I've come up with a number of presets while playing with it :)

This sounds *fantastic* I love it!

I didn't say Diva sounded bad, but this track again reinforces that there's something lacking in the higher frequencies. Its something that I notice with my Juno too, thats one of the reasons I prefered to use it for basslines. It's not a bad thing, in fact its what gives it the great sound that it has.
noise and beats: Negutyv Xeiro do people actually click these?

In 2011 we have particles, moving faster than the speed of light, and synths with spline predictors, working in real time on a laptop. What more could 2012 offer?

Post

Actually we don't have particles moving faster than the speed of light. That was a miscalculation. :D
