Dunno. I need to get onto the patch page anyway...hakey wrote:I won't bother putting this in the bugs thread - I suspect it's known - but patch inputs Tune1 and Tune2 aren't yet working, yes?

Inputs Tune1 and Tune2 are definitely working for me. You have to make sure that the corresponding depth control is turned up in the oscillator section and in the case of the Triple Osc, make sure that the switches corresponding to the oscillator you are trying to modulate are active. Also, the Triple Oscillator only uses Tune1.hakey wrote:I won't bother putting this in the bugs thread - I suspect it's known - but patch inputs Tune1 and Tune2 aren't yet working, yes?

Hmmm... it works for me with ModWheel, but I suspect that both Modsources always affect both oscillators.hakey wrote:I was trying to mod oscillator 2 of the Dual VCO2 module to get dynamic ringmod (as I read is possible with an MS20), but modwheel to Tune2 doesn't seem to do anything.

Ah, I believe that Tune1 and Tune2 each control both of the oscillators at once in that mode. Only Dual VCO can use the two tune inputs to modulate the oscillators independently (in split mode).hakey wrote:I was trying to mod oscillator 2 of the Dual VCO2 module to get dynamic ringmod (as I read is possible with an MS20), but modwheel to Tune2 doesn't seem to do anything.

That said, for the Dual VCO2 (aka Eco aka MS20) modding either Tune1 or Tune2 will affect both oscillators equally?
Which then means that the following instructions for dynamic ringmod with an MS20 can't be replicated in Diva:
Try patching the mod/pitch bend wheel to the VCO-2 cv IN. It is just under the Power switch/volume knob. Try that, hit that seemingly useless wheel and viola! - instant ring mod. gratification.
Also try patching any of the direct envelope outputs into the VCO-2 cv input; excellent for pitch envelope ring modulation. Note: there are two separate CV control inputs, one for VCO-2 cv 'as mentioned' and the other to control both VCO's 1 and 2.
There's no equivalent to the MS20's "VCO-2 cv IN".

This can be a bit confusing.
Tune1 and Tune2 don't stand for Osc1 and Osc2.
Tune1 is the first modulation slot for tune on the DualVCO and DCO and Tune2 is the second slot.
Tune 2 doesn't do anything on the other Osc modules.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

The only Osc module that doesn't use Tune2 is the Triple Oscillator. Tune 2 works with Dual VCO, DCO and Eco.Bronto Scorpio wrote:Tune 2 doesn't do anything on the other Osc modules.
I agree that there should be a way to modulate VCO2 independently of VCO1 in Eco mode.

Ha! You are right! The eco mode has 2 tune slots too! Sorry for that! Haven't used the eco mode as much as I shouldjustin3am wrote:The only Osc module that doesn't use Tune2 is the Triple Oscillator. What confused me was thinking that Diva was capable of replicating all possible MS-20's patch routings. To be able to do that it would need an equivalent to "VCO-2 cv IN".
Confusingly, the MS-20s "cv IN" is indeed routed to both oscillators, whereas "VCO-2 cv IN" only changes the pitch of VCO-2.
I assumed that for Diva's MS20 oscillator bank the equivalents cv IN and VCO-2 cv IN would be Tune1 and Tune2. But it seems that's not the case...

Would be a workaround but it should work.

Haha, don't think that does what I want.Bronto Scorpio wrote:My brain is outside of my head at the momentbut I guess you could solve that with the "Add" function somehow?

(trying to work out a way of controlling Eco Osc2's pitch independently of Osc1)

Ahh yeah of course. Sorry! I'm really not completely here at the momenthakey wrote:Haha, don't think that does what I want.Bronto Scorpio wrote:My brain is outside of my head at the momentbut I guess you could solve that with the "Add" function somehow?

Sadly that won't be possible.
