would you consider DIVA pretty much "feature complete" once its released or are there big plans to make this thing even crazier than it already it is?
We'll consider her feature complete. Unless we change our mind.

No-one should ever buy a product based on future expectations. There is a good chance that we add more models, but there's only little chance for a CS80, or "complete" panels. If at all then we will most likely add a filter or two, and maybe some envelope. There's also a chance for a "digital" VCO model. That however depends on sales (looking good), time (ugh) and resources (need reference model)

The other thing is, we've planned some overall improvements (still gonna try to get multicore happening, also VST3 etc). Of these she will benefit, but there won't be a change in sound.

So yes, for now and for at least a year or two she'll be feature complete. Everything beyond that requires psychic abilities :)

Please do consider adding a Prophet 5 Rev 2 filter - SSM2040 to either Diva or Berlin Modular.
It really is one of the best filters ever created.

Yes, that's the most requested one. But also the hardest to get ;)

Has all aliasing been eliminated?
It's impossible to eliminate all aliasing, but I think we've done a pretty good job. It gets audible at extreme settings, in which one might argue it doesn't really matter all that much.
wow this is really great news....it was driving me mad....to the point where i started oversampling diva by 3x whenever an FM sound is needed(yes i started running Diva at 192khz :embarassed: )

oversampling did help
for example listen to these examples

this is 192khz
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/50331508/fmat192_r8b.wav

and this is 44.1khz
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/50331508/fmat44100.wav

notice how at 44khz some completely artefacted sub is created by ghost alias artfacts.
btw i allready noticed this problem when recreating the yazoo don't go patch patch.

and listen to this
at 192
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/50331508/fmcomp ... 22_r8b.wav

and at 44.100 some alias fizzz to the sound.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/50331508/fmcomparison244100.wav

i'm very glad the issue got adressed and can;t wait to hear the new beta.

btw i have a cem3340 in my eurorack so i'm waiting for a cem3340 product to be released to make some software vs hardare comparison of the FM. then i'll see if it;s the case to sell all my hardware ;P

I'm hoping we see a new beta this weekend. Right now, the CPU usage is the only thing holding me back from buying. If it's somewhat improved (I'm not expecting it to be low CPU at all, just looking for a few more voices) in the next beta, then I'd definitely buy a license now.

Sorry, but cpu won't be improved...

I have a very last moment bug that I want to fix. Otherwise I would have posted the current build.

John Bowen did an excellent emulation of the CEM and SSM filters for his Proph@t synth on Scope (and Solaris)

I still may buy anyway. Perhaps I'll just stick to basses and leads (or just go to Fast mode and improve the quality on render).

Prophet VS would be my vote (4 oscillators with a vector envelope).

I hope your Pro-One/Synthex makes it in at some point, and I think the two biggest remaining targets are probably an SSM filter and an Oberheim filter.

Would this be equivalent to an SH-101? I don't even know what kind of oscillator model that would be, but I like it. Is it closer to the juno or jupiter osc/filter?

I've only had the one issue so far, but considering how often I've seen "yes" as a response to people's feature request I'm really curious what all is going to be added. O_O

I'm dying for a standalone version of the filter, to be honest. But that's a silly thing to request right now, as I'm eagerly awaiting the next beta of Diva.

:wheee:
noise and beats: Negutyv Xeiro do people actually click these?
gearlust: Roland JP-8000, too much/not enough eurorack
machinecode by: u-he, Bitwig, Fabfilter, NI, et al

There's been at least two or three Prophet 5 rev 1's and 2's on Ebay in the last 2 or 3 months.. Or did you mean for less than $4,000-$5,000? ;)

Now I check there's even both a rev 1 and a 2 on Ebay USA currently..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sequential-Circ ... 0820617717

Though not ideal, back on planet earth there's always the clones I suppose - motm440, tiptop 2040, filtareseiii, mattson mini, Analog Metropolis kit (if you can source 2040 chips) etc. I'm sure there's probably even more.

Hehe, sorry, I'm not looking in th US... For that kind of beef I want to see it first.

Actually, the only "yes" was for Unison... everything else is either bugfix, or "maybe" or "we'll try"

I seem to get a 'bit reduction' type sound behind the oscillators when using an LFO on the Filter Cutoff with the Restart value 'single'.

The CPU is running fine at only 13%

To replicate the settings, start from the default preset then simply increase the LFO 2 Control on the filter. Then select 'single' restart on LFO 2.
