Diva 467 works well in Live 8.2.7 and Sonar X1 (64-bit) on Win 7 SP1 64-bit.
I tried all the presets in both with sound set to 'divine' and, yes, it was.

New betas appears to have all parameters automatable, buttons, switches, even the model selectors. Right on! I will make an automap template for this as soon as I can. Can't wait to tweak this purely on hardware.
I think it's worth making an MS-20 controller midimap as well. I'm still very curious to see if it's possible to use the cables on the MS-20 controller for mod routings. It must send some kind of midi signal.
One thing to note Urs, is that many of the effect parameters have the same name, such as the rate on the 2 phasers and choruses for example. Both are called "Rate" in both effect slots, so they show in the host parameter list as the same name. It doesn't make a difference really, but for automation purposes it might be useful to have these be differentiated somewhat, like Ph1-Rate, Ph2-Rate, Ch1-Rate etc.
cheers

Just curious what controller you are using.Echoes in the Attic wrote:New betas appears to have A:: parameters automatable, buttons, switches, even the model selectors. Right on! I will make an automap template for this as soon as I can. Can't wait to tweak this purely on hardware.

I'll be setting up a template for my Novation X-Station, which has a separate, labeled knob for most parameters

I'm glad someone asked about Howard's patches, because I didn't know where they were either. Per usual, Howard has some nice ones (patches that is)! With some clever usage of the LFO's, I wondered if they had some sort of sequencer initially. I don't think I've heard LFO's doing anything that elaborate before (at least to my knowledge).

Build 467 is a really nice update sonically - Bravo
Haven't tried Nuendo, but sometimes when you close Diva's window or remove it from a track it crashes Cubase (v6.05 32 bit on Win7 64) especially when nothing else is loaded. I'd be more explicit but I just tested it there and it didn't happen again, so it's not consistently doing it.
Also, though it isn't a big deal or anything, it feels like the Feedback can sometimes act a bit "strange"? EG here's a preset which is fine, but turn Emphasis down to zero on it, bump up the feedback more and you'll maybe hear what I mean.. Sounds a bit like a Commodore 64 when you play a C6 note

Wow, you really wiped out my sounds. Don't get me wrong, I love the improvements, but I have to go back and tweak all my sounds now to get them back. I believe you said that from here on we aren't going to have any more drastic changes, right?

Thanks Zvenx. I'll maybe try on another system and see if I get the same. The Cubase crashes blame the diva.dll though

Haha. Anything which touched the FM is especially FUBAR'dJJBiener wrote:Wow, you really wiped out my sounds.

Urs, you guys have created a thing of beauty with Diva!
I really am having a hard time believing what I'm hearing out of this thing. Been messing around with it a lot lately, and it's just glorious, it really is!
I was playing with CS-80V2 for a long time just now, and was thinking to myself, "This is really quite good! Not bad at all!"
...then, I turn my attention back to Diva: "Whoa! WHOA!! HolySHIT, Batman! This thing is god-like! This is unreal!!"
Really, there's nothing like this in software I've heard, ever. I had a Jupiter 6 in my studio for a long time, and to me, Diva is superior in that it just doesn't make any extra noise of any kind: just the juiciest sounds possible, and it's as close to a perfect recreation of these various synths as I'd ever hope to hear. For all intents and purposes, this IS perfect. Even Draft mode outclasses most of my other soft synths in terms of expressiveness and that elusive 'alive' quality.
This one's a slam dunk, a grand slam, a hole in one. The filet mignon of software synthesis. It just doesn't get any better than this, folks.
BRAH-VO.

Actually I might wait a bit - that last couple of updates almost completely wiped out my old template - nearly everything is shifted to accommodate the new params. I'd rather not make a more comprehensive one, which would be very time consuming, if those features are still in flux but I will make a simpler interim one with the basic synth features till the feature set is stable.Echoes in the Attic wrote:Indeed you must.aMUSEd wrote:Must update my Kore template then too

Sorry for that... the main culprits are explained in the about file that comes with the download. Usually adjusting filter cutoff and FM intensity gets you back.JJBiener wrote:Wow, you really wiped out my sounds. If something is off when playing short notes fastly then it's the ADS envelope, which now "adds" the level left from the previous note to the attack peak. Maybe switch to the digital one instead.
