Actually, you're not alone. I agree wholeheartedly on both counts.

I'm a vegetarian, but I have to admit . . . on my last visit to Eastern Europe I couldn't take my eyes off thousands of 5'10"/120lb hotties wearing leopard and tiger patterned mini shirts. There was no way I was objecting! :-).

Some of them were probably women :-)

Their legs were so long I didn't have time to scan my way up to the face . . . or even the shoulders to check for broadness. Come to think of it . . . some of them had very large feet. Who knew?

I see. And it was the leopard and tiger patterned mini shirts that got your attention?
:hihi:

(we are so doomed... :dog:)

Yes! Therefore, I highly recommend an animal skin skin option for Diva. :-).

FastTriggerFish wrote:Hey guys, I've got a bit of a problem with DIVA which I noticed on a few of my patches: the volume can vary quite a lot though time, it's very noticeable when playing a repeated pattern.
Could this be due to some phase cancellation between oscillators which is slowly shifting with the detuning, and are any of you experiencing it too ?
I've never noticed it like that with other soft synths.
I haven't had time yet to debug it properly in case it's logic automation going mad or something like that ( wouldn't be the first time ) but the project looked clean.
Here is an example - in isolation it came out as heavy shifts in frequency content rather than simple volume change, like a kind of slow flanging.

Here is the patch as well:

I couldn't see anything in the patch that should cause this, but I hope I'm not doing anything stupid

Ours simply adds and adds and adds. I think we should restrict it to some value, maybe 300%?
Having just tried to update one of my sounds, I wonder if even that's way too much? Now I've spent more than 10 mins with the update some of Mogular's earlier comments about the beta now make a lot more sense to me.

EG this is the Die Klapperschlange preset I made (which is in the KVR bank) I updated the settings for Diva and it's pretty easy to get it to match.. just turn the FM down to 12, turn down feedback, change the filter a tiny bit. Easy. That is, until you retrigger the envelopes quickly.. When you do that.. well, I'll let the audio results speak for themselves.. :-o

First is beta 360, then 467, then 360, 467. So far so good. Now play the sound on 360 vs 467..

The MS20 filters sound hugely different on the latest beta compared to 360 - specifically the rev2. It only seems to have any resonance when the volume of the oscillator is turned down to about 25%. Above that and the resonance dies much fast than the rev1. I used to own an MS20 (no idea which rev it was) but I don't ever remember hearing the resonance die so quickly like that (and this was a long time before I had any idea about gain staging between oscillators and filters - I pretty much had everything on full back then).
Is it possible rev2 isn't working the way it should Urs?

That's scary to hear. The MS20 bits of rev 338 are exactly what has me so excited about this synth.

I have noticed that too.

No such thing in Eastern Europe

All of them are women
