Likely a huge noob question, although I saw someone else ask but never found the answer.
In the trimmers page how do I enable the orange Randomise button for the Slop parameters?
Thanks

You just re-randomize the settings by pushing the buttons once. That's faster than editing 4 x 8 more knobs. We need to make this more clear.RayNorshyn wrote:Likely a huge noob question, although I saw someone else ask but never found the answer.

Thanks Urs.
I tried that, with numerous double click speeds and hold lengths. Couldn't get them to come on. Vers 472.

They're subtle... hence the reduction to random values.RayNorshyn wrote:Thanks Urs.

Make a patch with only a self oscillating filter, maybe tuned to keyboard.
Turn CutoffSlop fully up.
Hold a note while pressing the CutoffSlop random button - the filter frequency will jump a few cents.
That's all there is... just some random little offsets between voices, similar to the subtle differences between vocies on an analogue polysnth

It's a M4L (Max for Live) device. The envelope follower, lfo and envelope generator are three of the best devices included with M4L and with the included API building blocks you can easily roll your own bespoke modulation devices with ease.hakey wrote:OT: Is the Envelope Follower a recent (later than 8.1.4) addition to Live?
Killer stuff that Ableton don't shout enough about when talking about M4L.
Make for a killer combination with Diva too! And not just for modulating LED's.

Yes,
I can definitely hear the change when I press it. I just can't get the orange button stay, as I see done in some other presets (EG 3am Terrorsweep)

Yep, some presets are saved with "buttons on". This will randomize the slops with every patch load
