The micro tuning works the same as Zebra...the tuning is reset when browsing presets.

It would be easier to load the tuning file once at the start of a session rather than every time you want to try another preset.

We'll add this functionality next year - to all our plugs that support Microtuning :)

Voice tune as mod destination or some other way of routing a mod source to spread relative voice tuning (similar to Zebra's oscillator detune) would come in handy.
Slightly early, yes :)

Any chance to use VoiceMap and Multiply to achieve the same thing?

It definitely works in Fruity! You have to check the "notify about render mode" (or something like that) box in the Plugin settings :)

Urs,

Just made the purchase this week end and i think DIVA is a very nice addition to ACE which i use as my main synth since it's release in late 2009...

After some time spent with it i just begin to understand how to use it on my humble core2duo 2ghz laptop: just seems like it's the filters that are reponsible for the high CPU hit on some patches, especially when using the sallen key HP Filter in conjonction with a LP Filter, so to save CPU on poly sounds i just use one filter or just the "juno" highpass instead of the MS HPF.
But as far as i can say, it seems like some modules combinations are more CPU intensive than others... am i right?

Moreover, i have a little request: can you make the global accuracy mode saved within presets just like in ACE for exemple?

And for the modules name, i suggest you change the name of the MS modules (translate BITE in French and you'll see what i mean :hihi: )

Cheers
Vinz

Hey Vinz,

Yes, different combinations yield different cpu usage... Anything with high resonance smokes cpu...

Hehehe, Bite... just looked it up... hahaha... I hope it's not too inappropriate

It's even more inappropriate considering Diva's a "she".

Also, I'm a bit stubborn regarding the Quality settings. We went through hoops to make them sound as close as possible. Of course, draft mode is named literally so.

I do believe that global quality settings have advantages over ACE-like per-patch settings. First of all, when browsing presets, you don't get unexpected results (neither draft-grit not divine-spikes unless expected). In a production situation you don't need preset-based settings, once the patches are selected and on a track, there's no difference global and per-partch settings.

I see that many people create patches for certain settings (well, draft or elsewise), but Diva's strength clearly unfolds in Great/Divine settings. Thus this is what people should be aiming for.

I'm also convinced that Diva will be considered "easy on cpu" in about 3 years time.

Cheers,

;) Urs

Hi Urs... just to let you know that after last night's unsuccessful attempts Diva just downloaded fine this morning. :)

Looks like the problem has gone away (at least from here).

Yep - worked that out shortly after posting.

On question (very minor). I thought it's funny that the 12/24 db switch on the jupiteresque filter is a red button, whereas the rough/clean switch is exactly the type of switch used on the hardware for the 12/24db selector.

Seems to me like the 12/24 filter selector should be the hardware switch and the rough/clean should the red light? ;) I won't lose any sleep over it either way, but I figure that's the more true to original design, no?
Totally valid point

(I don't think I could be bothered though... my batteries are flushed empty...)
Understandable! Just five days to Christmas after all. However my synth OCD will never forgive you.
