The Diva10 installed fine here on my mac.
The global preset quality settings changing by themselves problem I had,
is no more either. (it wasn't midi learn either)
It's a great synth, the presets are great as well.
Thanks for doing the Diva synth Urs and the U-he team.
:tu:

btw:My preset folders name really shouldn't be McNoone, but mcnoone or MCnoone.
Probably not worth the trouble changing it though.

Send a PM to Howard, I'm certain he'll fix it for you Michael. :)

This latest installer likes to move the knobs a little bit on it's own after I let go of tweaking one. First time I've noticed it. I'm using it on OSX Lion as a VST in Ableton Live 8.

I would check your preferences in Live.
Try different midi setups on that page Controller in/out.
I had the same problem, but fixed it by setting the midi preference in Live correctly.

You should also try "midi-unlearn" with the "control" click on the knob and choose it from that popup menu.
edit:I'm on a macbookpro using Live 8x(latest update) Snow Leopard though.

If I don't move my presets will this install overwrite them?

No.
I already tried.
They will just be along with the other ones.

Urs,

I am still getting this really weird thing where the first voice randomly won't sound, but all the others do! It happens randomly upon loading a Cubase 6.0.5 project (32-bit) on Win7 64-bit. Any idea what could be causing this? Diva crashed another project I tried to load it in. I'm thinking maybe it doesn't like some other plugin or something, but I can't think of what. I opened it in a minimal project with virtually nothing else loaded, and same thing happened. :(

Edit: For the moment, it's behaving itself--not sure if this will last by any means, but I trashed all the folders and reinstalled. Gwaaaaahhd, this sounds A-M-A-Z-I-N-G...  :o

I agree there are a lot of great presets in Diva now, also lot of "bread & butter" sounds which usually are missing in factory banks.
I found that FMR ("Fernando" iguess?) has some presets quite similar to my Jupiter and also some Minimoog presets but at a closer look they seem to be quite different, even for that (in)famous "Jump" preset. :)

Yeah, that's a bit inconvenient. I installed both the 32bit and the 64bit in one go and moved the 64bit version to the proper place.
I moved the 'Diva.data' to 'C:\ProgramData\u-he\VSTData' like the rest of your VST data files and made a symlink from my VST folders to there.
From my experience a symlink is not necessary. A simple shortcut named Diva.data will work to. Saves a bit of command line sorcery.

Yes, excellent work from both of you!

Goes to show that even similar sounds can still exhibit different shades of tone and behaviour. FMR even has two Jumps, and they're quite different.

(and should that promised OBXa ever arrive, we can add its filters for a whole new round of Jumps!)

Urs
Does this mean that you will be getting an Oberheim OB-Xa to analyse its filter for inclusion in Diva?
How about the Rev 2 Prophet 5?

That would be awesome!! I already have tried with Arturia SEM V how it could sound with a (more or less...) proper Oberheim filter (my own preset):
http://soundcloud.com/ingoweidner/ingo- ... jump-brass

Same preset, different track:
http://soundcloud.com/ingoweidner/ingo- ... em-v-brass

I was not able to reproduce that one exactly with Diva or most other synths but an OB-Xa and/or SEM filter in Diva would be great for that (and other) kind of stuff for sure.

I don't think the plan is to use somebody else's emulation as reference!
(I'm aware you aren't suggesting that)
