Hey urs, it takes a little while to open Diva after inserting it into Live, is there still a chance of debug code or something making it slower than the snappy zebra is? HNY man.

Is there any way to start with a Template patch ie INIT Minipoly, customize the patch, and then save the new patch into the User folder? It saves my custom sounds back into the Templates folder. Thanks for any help!

Of course. Open e.g. the User folder before saving your patch (I will make sure that I explain this in the manual!).

I did the same thing on accident.

To work around it, find the diva.data folder in your explorer/finder, then enter the Presets\Diva folder and create a new folder.

Then in Diva, right click the bank area and choose Refresh, then select the new folder you made to give it focus then use the save button.

It will put your patch there.

Just purchased Diva last night right around the new year. Wow. The patches everyone made are amazing, and Diva ... Diva is the most inspirational instrument I've owned. I just keep clicking through the presets, and clicking back to the main synth, amazed by the sounds and learning how each was made. Zebra is absolutely amazing, but Diva is on another level.

The last time I was this excited about making music with an instrument was when I got my first Trumpet in 2nd grade.

Best purchase EVAR :)

Und Urs ... vielen Dank für Diva.

Ever since I sold my Chroma Polaris a few years ago, I've been trying to duplicate a specific sound--a low saw drone starting with filter mostly closed, and slowly opening the filter cutoff to create a sound like a monster emerging from a primordial swamp and looking around for a building to eat. Even with Zebra, which I love, I couldn't get that one sound with the rich deliciousness I remembered from the Chroma. Well, search over. With Diva, there it is in more than one of the factory patches. I played it over an over.

Thank you, Urs, for reproducing my analog monster with digital technology.

I can confirm problems with the x64 version in Cubase 6.0.5 x64 on Win 7 x64. Haven't used it too much yet, but some patches have issues as has been mentioned recently in this thread, with version 1.0. And this is on a very powerful, latest-generation DAW. Looking forward to an update on this issue.

Besides those x64 woes, I will say that Diva is absolutely gorgeous-sounding. I absolutely love it, and will be recommending it to all my friends. After x64 is fixed, of course. :) Almost all my buddies have made the switch to x64 now, so I don't want to push this plugin until an x64 update.

But, wow, what a sound! This takes me back years to my old analog gear, it gets that close. Kudos to the U-he team that made this possible.

And as far as CPU hit goes, it is pretty heavy, but nothing a new Sandy Bridge E can't handle. :) The CPU hit is worth the sound.

I found a small issue, and I'm not sure if it's reproducible.

If you leave your DAW online and then from another machine RDP to it (remote desktop), it seems like Diva goes to sleep until it's reinserted. I was sending it MIDI notes and Diva was silent. Live had audio output from other tracks, including other synths.

It was less than 24 hours since I had started a project in Live.

I know this is a ridiculous bug if it is one at all, I mean if I am going to remote into my DAW to do something from my iPhone or something, I don't expect anything to be 100% working when I return to it. I was just a little shocked to see that Diva was the synth that wasn't when I returned to it this time, as usually it's Live that has to be restarted to correct the situation.

I'm not sure if this is a problem involved with logging off/back on in windows 7 as a different or same user or not, I did not test that yet.

Are you implying that you yourself are of perfect design?

Cool, that smiley is actually :uhuhuh: - so I can somewhat relate to that...

As for the bugs. Yes they exist, and we are not denying that. Instead, we're fixing them.

Thank you Urs & u-he team for your wonderful DIVA plugin!

To me DIVA is quite the best sounding vst plugin I've used until now (besides Zebra2 and impOSCar2), and with it it's easy to create sounds that are as pleasing to my ear as sounds from my Roland JX-8P; plus DIVA fits into the mix equally well.

Roland synths from the first half of the 1980s really have a special sound, very rich and warm. I think it's not at least that sound that made 1980s tracks by producers like Trevor Horn and Thomas Dolby so good sounding (not to forget albums like Michael Jackson's "Thriller" or Donald Fagen's "The Nightfly").

I've made a short demo track with 4 instances of DIVA plus a rhythm track (sampled drums). It's quite 1980s style, and sounds a bit like Paul Hardcastle, Midnight Star etc.

Markus808,
My new Arturia V-Collection isn't working now (aargh, blasted security stuff), so I'm listening to your tune instead of working on my own music. Yes, your song sounds very 80's (as my own music often does). I don't recall hearing a harmonica-type sound out of the Diva before: good!

Yes, I enjoyed that one! Nice relaxed eighties feeling. Thanx for sharing. :)

It's the preset "MK Viola" (to be found in the 'Lead' section), slightly altered (filter settings, envelopes).

Thanks for the feedback! :D
