DIVA known issues

I have a problem with missing notes too and there are different cases. I made a new bass sound starting from scratch (no previously loaded presets) and played some short notes. The following things happen randomly (reloading the project every time):
- Some notes are silent
- Cubase crashes or freezes
- When playing notes with Diva other plug-ins go silent. Removing Diva after
that results in freezing for a few seconds.
I'm on Win 7 SP1 (64 bit), Cubase 6.0.5 (32 bit), Diva 1.0.1
Cheers,
Andreas

Notes sometimes not sounding I can fix by loading my project in Ableton Live then reloading it.
I have a new problem though. If I have five instances of Diva in Ableton Live 8 it works fine but if I reload the project a day later I get only crackle when I look at each Diva Gui sometimes the midi light is on as if Im holding down a note in all of them when I am not touching anything. Abletons CPU meter stays locked at 24% and then I get a loud continuous tone it takes a very long time for it to respond then I get the fatal error audio engine is not responding then crash.
I can fix it by deleting two Diva instances. Then putting them back in.

Sounds very similar to the Cubase 6 bug I've noticed sometimes. Next time maybe check the Scope, on one of the silent instances, and see if you get the same as this when you try to play it? Not sure if this is a problem with Logic or Diva, so here goes.
I recently recorded an instance with Diva in Logic. The first three notes have the same cut off rate on the filter and the last of the four notes I played has the rate increased via the pitch wheel. When I option drag or copy the region, all the notes in the copied regions play at the faster rate. Not exactly sure what to do about it.

Does it happen with a non-uhe 3rd party plugin?CPCompany wrote:This appears to be a Logic problem as I tried it with both Zebra and Alchemy and the problem persists.

Don't know if this has been reported but Diva v517 sometimes causes problems in Studio one 2.
Cpu spikes, loud clicks when switching presets, some strange noises, silent notes, problems with multiple instances and even had a crash.
All my other plugins are working normal...windows 7 32bit.

Hi Urs and Clemens,
is there any progress in the silent notes and seconds of freezing Cubase problem?
Would be nice to have a fix for it (Win7 64 bit, Cubase 6.0.5 32 bit, Diva's latest build)
Thanks,
Andreas

There is no patch coming for the silent sometimes crackle Diva bugs I've been told by U-HE support that it is my DAW not DIVA even though this problem only happens with Diva. They have fast support though it just has bugs that are random and hard to recreate for the support team to look into. I
sent them two Live 8 projects and they worked perfect at their end they also work perfect at my end for a few days in a row then they go silent again or patches with crackle.

@Kaboom75 Running Live 8.2.8 here and a Win HP7 machine running Diva's latest public revision. What is the issue? I'll test it here if I can. Any particular patch?

@Kaboom, if we couldn't recreate the problem, maybe it's an accidental MIDI learn? Try deleting this file:
Vstplugins/Diva.data/Support/com.u-he.Diva.midimap.txt
Otherwise, it's entirely possible that it's a host or driver issue. Once Diva stunns the host/driver by a long delay, it may just, well, stunn the driver. In that case we can't do anything.
However, we're looking into all sorts of possibilities, including a complete stall/freeze in the filters. Which should never happen, and hasn't happenend for us.
Also, you said that the MIDI Led froze. If that happens, can you still turn a knob?
Cheers,
Urs

deleted Vstplugins/Diva.data/Support/com.u-he.Diva.midimap.txt
Still got problems.
Two out of four divas silent but the silent Diva's midi light comes on when I hold a key.
Sometimes when I Load it after deleting Vstplugins/Diva.data/Support/com.u-he.Diva.midimap.txt
One or more Divas has no sound but the midi activity light is on even though holding no keys but Diva's knobs can be turned.
If I make a new project with around four Divas I can jam all day no problem but if I save it and open it later on in the day or the next day sometimes I get the silent divas problem.
If I keep reloading the project over and over sometimes it loads and works perfect.
Thanks for the help I will send in the problem to Ableton support see what they say. I have never had this problem with Zebra or Ace which is why I thaught it was a bug in Diva.

I have the exakt same problem as Kaboom75. It happens in Windows 7 (64 bit) and Windows XP each time with Cubase 6.0.5. It's random if Cubase freezes, the notes are silent or everything is fine. Yesterday I exported a song where Diva played correctly but when the export bar reaches the point where the first notes of Diva were, Cubase stopped working completely.Kaboom75 wrote:If I keep reloading the project over and over sometimes it loads and works perfect.
