They picked a good time to do this since it is 4:40am in London now and I believe Gearslutz is owned by a Brit. The owner will have quite a surprise when he wakes up tomorrow.

depending upon the arrangement of the dns systems you're using it could take 24h or longer for everything to update. the usual time is 30 minutes, but the results are always extremely variable.

the recommendation has been to avoid godaddy like the plague due to the high frequency of similar incidents happening over the last few years.

First site I ever had, was on godady, I've been with zzhosting for about 5 years and have had almost no problems, only twice, my site was down for about 3 hours.

yw, but all I did was my duty which mostly was training other soldiers about Nuclear, Biological and Chemical defense...

As far as I'm concerned, every bit counts. With out the trainers, desk jobs etc. it would be harder for the "frontline" people to do their jobs.
