gotta go with 'acid mothers temple' ftw. at the very least, one could probably describe it as 'atonal' (it does have a steady beat after all).

be that as it may; great thread!

Three Songs for soprano, E flat clarinet & guitar, Op. 18 (1925)

Like his Op. 17, Webern's Three Songs, Op. 18 was not heard publicly during the composer's lifetime. Robert Craft conducted the songs' premiere on February 8, 1954 in Los Angeles.

not the weirdest but different that's for sure

sounds pretty standard to me. if you take away the video and just listen to the music it's actually pretty standard stuff. although it maybe is a little bit down-tempo for the usual members of it's genre.

finding anything i'd really consider unusual would be really insanely difficult. it would need to be something unique i hadn't heard before...

One could get some things that do come close to 'weird'...but these one's, to me, are about as close to normal/weird if one wants to use that term of phrasing...

"if" doesn't exist in things like this (we've been this exact road before..like total de ja vu) Like I said it' not the weirdest but it's weird enough with the videos to have kept me watching. It is so far outside of what I typically listen to but it has a certain genius to it in my opinion and reaches the listener/viewer in several ways. I think quite a bit of that is a primitive instinct to the video and lyrics while adding a very futuristic (or contemporary as it were) feel to the music while being quite minimalist...it's "standard stuff" as a result imo makes it work, makes it weird and grabbed my attention. I only wish the first time I saw it I was tripping but I haven't done that in over 20 years

the video definitely does add something to it, so if "if" isn't factored into it then yeah i'd have to agree it's weird. weird as salad fingers.

Ween's early stuff would probably freak out a lot of normal people or at least get a WTF response.

King Missile could go into the same category.

Depending on the listener and where you're from, what may be music to one may be garbage to the next, I for example love Marilyn Manson (which some might not enjoy), and others like Lady Gaga (which I can't F#####N stand, ..... almost like being raped in the ear by an Mosquito)
Point is there are plenty of weird music out there depending on your preference.

But if I had to pick a certain genre, then definitely the "white witch" genre, or "Boere-musiek" also known as "sakkie sakkie"

Indeed! I like a good deal of Marilyn Manson but I love Enya and Prong.
