maybe... will ask him...
Howard has better things to do!

I've created (with a little Linux cmd-foo) the files that are new/different from 1.0.1 -> 1.1. Full list is here:

thanks a lot for those... will help me tremendously... I guess they also did over the BT stuff as my favourites from that section have been unfavouritized :-)

edit: I see what's happening there is now a BT eco bank that has all the same or at least incarnations of all the previous patches.

Had also mentioned this twice before.......on the PC there is a bank called Treasure Trove! but it is named without the exclamation on the mac....... the exclmation gives make favourite lots of problems, that is it doesn't work unless you remove the !

The BT folder has a differnet name now. Previously it was called "BigTone bank for draft mode" now it's called "Bigtone eco bank".

The presets should be the same.

- no changes, just revised version number
- 50 more HS Presets
- Mr Wobble bank (in Diva's excellent third party section)

Thanks everyone for helping us out here! I think we got a pretty solid product even more solid. Or, as a good friend just said "I can't believe it's not analog"

;) Urs
is there any chance an intro price will be re-introduced for the non-beta release / those of us that run on ramen? :help:

I'm getting dropped notes and sometimes stuck notes with 1.1 in FLstudio 10.0.9. This did not happen using 1.01. Anyone else having this issue?

Hi,

I can't make Diva work. I followed the readme file but Cubase 6 can't find Diva. It's a bit strange because Zebra2 demo is working perfectly and it's the same kind of install (link pointing to c:\user\music\vsti\Diva.data in c:\programs\Steinberg\VSTPlugins)

What could I try to play with this beauty?

Win 7 x64 - Cubase 6 artist x64

I think the usual data path is c:\user\documents\u-he\Diva\Diva.data
but I suppose you can always move it to some other location once you have the correct privileges.

I guess Diva got blacklisted by Cubase due to file permission issues.

Maybe put Diva.log on your desktop (comes with download in Extras folder), download Savihost, rename to Diva.exe and put in your Vstplugins directory, then run it. Whatever path or permissions issue is there, the log file will probably tell us. Once we get her running, you can delete Cubase' blacklist file and you're good.

Absolutly thrilled to see this astounding rate of progress, on my Favourite sound maker.

Thanks for all the good work. Also the various powerusers that have helped pointing to bugs and suggesting improvements are owed a big thanks fron Copenhagen!

waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

someone else posted about underrunns with multicore, but I experienced it and have some more info. Just been running a test I'm on a macbook pro with core i5 one instance of Diva in an empty Live set. I've used v1 of diva quite a bit and could generally run my cpu pretty hot until I got underruns.

my buffer is set to 64 and I generally have no problems with that until my cpu get's up high. testing a 3note chord in diva default patch multicore turned off cpu hit's 23% no sound problems. switch multicore on play chord cpu drops to 18% (nice) but I consistently get underrun drop outs :(

I changed my buffer to 128 and tried it again, the cpu load is reduced and the underruns lessen, but still occasionally get a pop I can add notes until cpu hits around 45-50% and they become slightly more frequent if I turn multi-threading off I don't get them. I'll just keep multi threading off for now, but man I'm excited to take advantage of that cpu boost.

My what a Fantastic update guys,.. Urs and Clemens thank you for the incredible dip in resource consumption! I'm able to get away with sounds and polyphony in realtime that was not possible before. Howard, thank you VERY much for the new presets and the awesome extrea info and tips section of the man! These are... I don't know what to say. I think the best way to say it is eye-opening. Learned A LOT about this little synth's charm tonight. Most importantly, I learned just how special this thing can sound with the right routings.

Post

The main thing that I notice is the "feel" has really improved..

The attack is really gorgeous and the notes just seem to "bloom"...

Like most people have been saying around here,Diva is a game-changer and she's the most impressive soft synth I have ever played....

Thanks to Urs and the team for creating a real winner

She's a Diva for sure

Post

What's the likelihood that the multicore optimisations in this release (which RULE btw) will be back-ported to ACE or other synths of yours?

Post

Also, is there a way to force all Diva instances to enable multi-threading by default?
